...would you say is pictured on Yesshows?
I saw a Great Blue Heron fly overhead the other night and I got to thinking "that looks a lot like the bird shown on Yesshows cover", without the colorful feathers of course.
Just got me to wondering what kind of fowl that is....

Big Bird
I know that quite often - certainly the case with his stage designs - Roger's philosophy is to create landscapes and features that evoke a feeling of familiarity, but not precise enough for one to put their finger on what it is. So the bird is probably inspired by perhaps a number of real birds, but is not any particular existing bird.

I agree. It is to me a mixture of different species ,creating a fantasy bird.

Why, it's a Siberian Khatru! The only known hummingbird to live it's entire life on a snowy album cover.

YESSHOWS.. It should have been a triple album!
WOW!! I just listened to wakemans moog solo from starship trooper off of the " 79 Wembley" bootleg I have. Holy crap!! I think it's my all time favorite wakeman solo of all time. Absolutely mind blowing. It should have made it on yesshows. Which makes me think..
Does anyone know if yesshows was going to be a triple album?
I love yesshows very much. I love the vibe and energy it has and I love the artwork aswell. What I don't understand is why some of yes's best live recording from that time never made it onto vinyl.
That whole melody of Time in a word into long distance into perpetual change into soon thing is one of yes's best live work. I have also heard some live tracks of Awaken and Ariving ufo from the tormoto tour that is simply amazing to say the least.
If yesshows was a triple album It would have been perfect for the rest of the killer tracks that should have made it onto vinyl at that time in yes history.
