Hi everyone.....I will soon have the chance to see the band Close to the edge and Benoît David live near Montréal on march 21st..
I'm really looking forward to meet the band and spend a wonderful evening of Yes music live..along with some great friends including foreveryesfan..
We may try to bring in some pictures and comment following the show...
If anyone from this site sees this thread and want to join in,please contact me or Pierre (foreveryesfan) for a preshow gathering..So far there are 5 of us and I hope that Luke will join in cause we have a ticket for him...in a box....

Yes he is...Those gig are reschedule shows ...
When Benoît was asked to join Yes, it kind of disturb their own previous shows...
Benoît is also very active with his band Mystery, a new album is coming ...They will be opening for The musical box at the bell center on april 3rd....Musical box will be presenting their new show * A trick of the tail *
Then Mystery will also open for Saga at the progmontréal festival.....I hope to see Mystery live often this year cause I think that they are a great new prog band.

In the meantime I can only hope that this show will take place as reschedule...A great setlist coming..only 1971-74 original...

As for opener, Mr Myers will perform some Tony Banks and Genesis great moment from the 70s....lucky me..

Melissa just dropped me off, and I get to relax after a great weekend. I had a lot of fun meeting more Yesfans, and seeing Benoit with CTTE was a treat (even if we both thought the tempo was a bit fast). Even better was seeing David Myers doing Genesis songs on the piano--brilliant! Again, Daniel outdid himself with his hospitality. Merci beaucoup, mon ami! Expect similar treatment when you come to visit us.

I hope there are more weekends like this in the future!

This is not a review, just a statement I guess.

2009 in Québec...Although this was not the real Yes, we had a real Yes evening of music..With Yes music from 1971 to 1974 only, I can say that this was a dream setlist...

The tempo was not perfect, the show was not perfect, but I was in a perfect Yes mood..I cannot be objective about it..
These guys are still playing Yes music in 2009 which allowed me to finally introduce my own 18 years old daughter to Yes music live, which makes me very proud of being a Yesfan.
Their dedication towards Yes music is undenyable...
CTTE gathered 700 people on saturday which is quite good for a tribute band playing in a very small town..:appl[1]:

I want to thank Richard Lanthier for keeping the flame burning still..( he his CTTE's bass player )..His solo was so amazing on saturday..I'll let Melissa , Yvette and Pierre comment on that....The drummer was so good..( Pierre Dragon..)
Benoît David is getting better and better as his carrer seems to have taken such a great turn with his recent participation with the * In the present tour *:appl[1]:

Overall a great moment adding to my Yes stories..
A wonderful saturday with amazing ladies like Melissa and Yvette...Thanks for joining me Pierre G, Pierre F, Marie, Martin, Hans...I think that we had a great evening..

I hope to get more Yes in 2009..The real Yes, and hopefully more CTTE's gig..
Please Melissa, bring some pictures of the group, so I can now introduce my daughter and other friends to Yesfans....
