What is your rating of clear days?

I haven't heard the whole album, but clear days is one of my favorite songs.

I love Jon's vocalising on this whole album and the first. There is an airyness to it which is lovely and I think Clear Days is a perfect example of it. Sweetness is another and Yesterday and Today. He seems to have lost this quality by the time Relayer comes around, which I think is a shame. He developed a harder tone to his voice which worked for most of the mid-Yes period, but I stilll love this softer tone.

Just awful... I'd rather not remember that it was ever ON that album. Sometimes Jon can be too sugary (like "Sweetness" in the 1st album, and "Clear Days" on TAAW) and it makes my teeth hurt.

One of the best things about iTunes is being able to leave songs OFF of it as you move your CD collection to iTunes. Then you can forget that such audio atrocities had ever existed.

Let's see... I put TAAW on my iTunes back in 2005 and only put on 7 of the songs.

I like it. It's the one track on TAAW where the strings fit nicely in that chamber-music style rather than being shoehorned in as on the rest of the album.

No, I never really got to do any of those typical bride things because we eloped.
It is a sad song but I was probably 12 or so when I had this idea and really didn't analyze the lyrics. I just picked out the phrases I found romantic.

Funny, there was a point where I had completely forgotten about this song. Then I heard it again one day and it sounded like a brand new Yes song to me. I suppose it's really more like a Jon solo song but it's brilliant, beautiful, and I love the way the strings are used, especially in the outro. Five stars, baby!
