VoicePrint are releasing five Rabin solo albums. They begin with a re-release of Beginnings (VP254CD), due 20 Jan. Beginnings was Rabin's debut solo album: it was released in South Africa and then re-released a few months later in the rest of the world by Chrysalis, with a slightly changed track list, as Trevor Rabin. VoicePrint are following the more familiar Trevor Rabin track list rather than the original Beginnings track list. All songs on Beginnings/Trevor Rabin were composed by Rabin; percussion on the album was by Kevin Kruger and Trevor's father Godfrey guested on violin (on "I Love You" and "Lovelife"). Next, due 27 Jan, is Live in LA (VP256CD), taken from Rabin's 1989 solo tour (Los Angeles show), with Lou Molino III (ex-Kim Mitchell; drums), Jim Simmons (bass) and Mark Mancina (keys); tracks: "Cover Up", "Sorrow (Your Heart)", "Heard You Cry Wolf", "Changes", "Eyes of Love", "Love will Find a Way", "Sludge", "Can't Look Away", "Owner of a Lonely Heart", "Something to Hold on to". (The release was originally planned on One Way Records, but the label filed for bankruptcy.) Then on 2 Feb comes 90124 (VP263CD), consisting of pre-90125 demos by Rabin—see under Yes news for details. VoicePrint will also be re-releasing Rabin's solo albums Wolf and Face to Face. Each of these five releases will come with a token: collect all five and you can obtain from VoicePrint a collectors' CD of further Rabin rarities, only available through this offer.

I sent away for mine on July 1st. I'm still waiting.............
I hope it's the rare 90124 CD I've been looking for with the 14 tracks on it. I have a lot of the songs that's on it already, but they're just rough demos from 1980-82. (Somewhere in there.) I'd like to have the finished versions.
I'll let you know if / when I get it. :kissme:

I don't trust these kinds of offers, I just hope it does come. A girl can hope anyway.

Anyone get that bonus mail in cd yet?
I've had one report so far that the bonus CD is, disappointingly, a CD-R with a single track, a song called "Can't Find My Way Home".

Hassle Voiceprint. If enough people complain, it might make them do better in the future.

I went to Amazon and listened to exerps from National Treasure. It sounds good from what little samples they give you. I loved the songs Declaration Of Independence and Treasure. I'm definitely going to buy the cd. :valintine
Oh and still nothing from the Voiceprint people. Grrrrrrrr!!
I could probably get Trevor to send me something before they do. ;)

Samples are also available at iTunes (usally different than the samles at Amazon) . . .
. . . and you can purchase (make that "download") the whole album for only $9.99. Which is fine if all you care about is the music. I'm kinda hooked on having "material" merchandise.

Is it me or does Jerry Bruckheimer LOVE Trevor???? I mean, look at all these scores he does for him. For some reason, I see TR's instrumental "Sludge" from Can't Look Away as a great intro song for the next CSI series ;).

According to a soundtrack site, trevor has done the score to the up and coming flick, Coach Carter starring samuel jackson. He plays a basketball coach to a bunch of low grades in new york.
Anyone knows anything on this project? The film is due a release in january 2005

Funnily enough I saw Armageddon two nights ago on TV....didn't see it when it did the rounds (thank heavens!)....and myself and the other people watching it were in stitches...it's is so FUNNY...I know it's not meant to be but it was so "bad' it was 'Good' (as in funny) because of the naffness of the film.....if it hadn't been for Steve Buscemi - it would have been sooo Baaaaad! (as in Awful).

I know at least one person who got one, although it was very disappointing, just a single song called "Can't Find My Way Home". Other people still haven't got theirs though.

Trevor had a song from his Beginnings album (1978) called
Finding Me A Way Back Home. That's not it -- is it?
I've been waiting since July 1st. *Sniff*
