my selfdrawn five popart paintings of the boys, hanging in my room

a signed tourprogramme of the Grumpy old Picture tour by Rick (with dedication, of course)
the original painting of the Ride of your Life cover, signed by Rick and Hoffy.
My little Wakey in my room! :D

this wonderful autograph in my favourite book!!!

to know that Rick (and also Hoffy) is a big fan of my cartoons and that I've already pleased so many fans with my stories.
and the most wonderful rarity of all, the knowledge of the ride of my life with Rick and Hoffy and a kiss by Rick :D

You will find the trading room on this site offers gems - free! - not records, but I have CD's of some very rare recordings - Yes with Pete Banks back in the 60's, A whole CD of rarities including 'train wreck' Gates of Delirium, Jimmy Page playing with the band - the list is endless. This site ROCKS!!! :rcking:

I have all official Yes albums and loads of concert recordings, one of my favourites is from Rick's Out There tour, because there's a live version of the title track without vocals on it. I have a beta version of Rick's Classical Connection on tape, also a lot of rare interviews and all Rick's Place episodes :D , Gastank and almost every TV appearence of Rick. But a real rare recording of Yes? I don't know...only the limited edition of the Ladder with the big poster...

I also have the King Arthur concert on DVD!!! It's brilliant, but now it's official in the 6DVD RW Videovault box. This box was not cheap, but worth buying, loads of Wakey rarities!!! And I also have photo of your arm ;)

I'm not too sure if these are counted as rarities these days but I have:-
An original VHS tape (plus CD) of ABWH An Evening Of Yes Music Plus encased in a "book" type box (cat.#VJMC002).
Keys To Ascension Volumes 1 and 2 box set (inc.4 Roger Dean prints). All the lyrics to Vol.1 (inc. the live tracks are printed) but strangely, none are printed for Vol.2. (cat.# esf cd 635).
I also have the European version of The Ladder that Nina mentioned earlier including the poster and slipcase.Mine's limited edition #36175.

I had a cardboard poster that was tacked onto a telephone pole to promote Yes' appearance at the Inglewood Forum in 1977...which I of course tore off the pole after the concert...sold it a few years ago for $66 on eBay!
I have a 1984 tour bandana with the 90125 logo on it that I bought at the concert. Unfortunately my daughter got a hold of one side with a pair of scissors so it's a little frayed.
Somewhere in my manila file folders I still have a Jon Anderson 1993 tour promo kit because I worked for a progressive rock publication at that time and got to phone Jon to interview him.
I downloaded a bumper sticker maybe ten years ago that says And On The Eighth Day God Created YES (logo). I still have it, laminated and taped up next to my computer.
How's that?

Don't know how rare this is, I doubt many people have it though. I have a video I taped back in 1990 of Trevor Rabin, standing on a mountaintop in South Africa. He was reporting for MTV on the release of Nelson Mandela. He was holding the microphone, hair blowing in the wind, sounding just like a journalist on location......it was great. :winknudge

I have a RainSong guitar promo with Jon Anderson playing guitar on it, not singing! He signed it for me and was surprized to see it...he smiled...one song 'A Walk With Bear' is about his dog. I asked how he (Bear) was and he said he gave him away to good friends as he was too often away from home...

My favorite YES rarity is definitely my "YES Music: An Evening With Jon Anderson" interview LP released by Atlantic in 1977. It was an interview done with Jon by Jim Ladd in 1976 and was sent to only major rock stations in the US. I think there were less than 100 printed.
2nd is my "YES: An Authorized Biography" book by Dan Hedges that I found in a book store in Duesseldorf Germany in 1985 travelling around. What a find as it was virtually non-existent at the time.
3rd is probably my egg-shaped, blue picture disc 45-single of 'Owner Of A Lonely Heart' I found in a record store in 1984.
4th - my blue vinyl 12" single of 'Wonderous Stories'.
5th - 1975 and 1977 US tour books
Other favorites: Sparkomatic bumber stickers from 9012LIVE tour; 'Don't Kill The Whale' 45-single b/w 'Abilene'. Denver show 1991 DVD (I was at that show); Other various singles...

Brian as you and I know.
The whole day was magic , simply surreal.
The pre concert event put on by Yesfanz really did make the day.
The Gig , well what can I say.
The Yes signing at 12 .00 pm later that night .
Waiting with bated breath to see if Anne and I could get the last signature we needed on our items we wanted signed.
Then around 1.00 to 1.30 am in walked Chris Squire .
Mission accomplished .
On the plane 5 hours layer , shattered .
But worth it.
Unreal Experience all round.

In terms of 'rare' memorabilia from those 3 days (here I must include the day before in Melbourne and the day after with the Borders signing & Roger Dean exhibition) I think the items I treasure most are my YesFANZ program signed by the group & Roger Dean, Roger's signature & Yes chop logo on my Yessongs vinyl album, the DVD of the Melbourne meet & greet where i fluffed my way thru as the MC of the Q&A session, the DVD of Rick's impromptu performance at the Roger Dean exhibition, many photos with the group.....so many things to cherish but the memories are most important.
Surprisingly, Iv'e not come across any "collectables" as such yet, not so much as a T-Shirt or keychain, I've focused collecting on the music rarities.
One of my favorites is a rare European release CD called "The Radio Album" which has the BBC recordings from the Tony Kaye and Peter Banks days, on it is a gem entitled "For Everyone". (Which later became the beginning of Starship Trooper).
Another favorite "Periphet"(LP), a recording from the 1978 Tormato Tour in Inglewood CA.
And finally, one of my favorite weeds of all time - YES at the Yale Bowl, New Haven CT, 1971 aka "Perpetual Change". Its not too rare, but you can't go to a music store to find one :)
Rare Yes item, hmmm? Well, back in the 80's, we didn't have the technology for lossless *ahem* duplication of live shows [euphemism for bootleg]. So, if you were lucky and persistent, and if the bootleg sellers didn't get closed-down and busted by cops, you could score an occasional bootleg. They used to cost about 1/3 more than a legit album. For example, I remember in 1978/79, it used to be possible to get double-album Yes boots for $12.98. That was considerably higher than the average price for "Kiss Alive II".
Of course, ignorant teenaged me HATED Yes with a passion in '78. It took until "Owner of a Lonely Heart" for me to become enlightened.
Back to my fave rarity. On 8/10/1985, I checked into this dusty record store, and scored a gently-used copy of Yes' "In the Round" [Wembley 10/28/78, not the LA Forum].
One I played "Siberian Khatru", I was sold. Then, it went into "Heart of the Sunrise". Holy S---, that was WAY better than the deadpan versions on "Yessongs".
It's been re-released several times, and some poorer-sounding CD versions have popped up since. Currently, I have it as a pre-FM version of the entire show. But I still have a warm spot for "In The Round", which introduced me to the way Yes sounded in '78, at their live peak. Can't even guess why the complete show had not been released legitamately, although some parts of "The Word Is Live" come fairly close in performance quality, I stilll find that Wembley '78 still tops them all, and still kicks "Yessongs" ass.

my signed back stage pass from Jon. Animation tour. This day was historic.
Although I am not in possesion of this, as it is my friends, I did have it on my first apartment wall. A wall-sized painting of the 'Olias of Sunhillow' album cover.

I've got this too! Had no idea it was that rare.
Must try to convert it to CD.
I also have these vinyls, which I'd imagine are fairly rare:
Madison Square Garden 1974

A 1989 US radio special "The Yes Story - Together and Solo"
The Affirmative "Tales From Mabel Greer's Toyshop" - Paris sessions + Awaken from Wembley 1978

I think I remember the WWs...it seems as if that was a decade ago or so!
First fave Würm: 1989 Great Woods, Mansfield, MA (with Broof and Levin)
Second fave: Tuesday Night SLO, 1996
Third: Wembley, '78
Fourth: 9012Live, Edmonton
First fave Würm: 1989 Great Woods, Mansfield, MA (with Broof and Levin)
That's a good call there. I'd put it second behind Wembley.
I just watched a DVD of the Jones Beach ABWH downloaded from Dime and Levin is incredible. I love the duet he does with BB at the end of Themes.

Nothing rare here I'm afraid...but I've a bunch of CD-R's that I love.
Wembley 10-28-78
Union Tour 91 Mountainview CA
Yale Bowl '71
And it's not even rare at all, but lately I've been really getting into the first disc of "The Word Is Live", especially "America".
For a long long time I was the only one I knew who had the UK import of "Don't Kill The Whale" b/w "Abeline". I got that way back when "Tormato" was first released.
