A great small venue. No seat is bad. So who else is going?

I'll be there! I just bought a 6th row center ticket (sec. C row C seat 108) for $95 + SC :-)!!

I just checked and there are more seats in Sec. C (center orch.) row C, right next to mine.

This is as close to Philly as the tour goes. Hope to see many Yesfans at this one! I'll see you R60man :-).

I am going to this one, too. This and A.C. are my only stops on this tour.

I hope there will be people at this thing!!

I'm doing AC and I want to do one other one—this is closer than Hershey so I might do this if I can get a decent ticket

Being from Reading and all, is there an appropriate meeting place near this venue that you could recommend?
Thanks, in advance.

Looking forward to tomorrow night's show in Reading, PA.
As has been said, this is as close to Philly as you get this tour. See you guys at the Peanut Bar. I'll be the guy with the Yes T-shirt on. :)

padelimike

EdArnold was talkin' 6:30.
I don't know my story. I need to try to hit the venue at load-in and play groupie. Maybe I can convince a crew member to take my recording rig in. No way I'd have fun trying to stealth, so I'm hoping for "open but discreet" taping.
There are stiLL 10th row center seats for sale-I wonder how empty it'll be.
If they allowed recording officially, they'd be sold out for sure.
Bottom line is bottom line-open taping would absolutely help them.

Heading there now. I'll be the guy with the mic stand.

I'm afraid to be any more descriptive than that-there's no way for me to be objective. Suffice it to say that any comment I might have would quickly degenerate into an unintelligible torrent of adulation. The "Core Instrument Group" wiLL always have the ability to move me this way.
Oliver Wakeman was wonderful. He seemed to be having a fabulous time, and seemed to me to be a super choice for the band. I thought he did a great job of balancing his "voice" with the old guys. My favorite Live Yes Keys were always from Patrick Moraz, and we haven't seen him in over 30 years. I would consider Oliver a reason to go see 'em again!
Benoit David was also a great fit. He clearly has a great passion for the songs, and that love shone through in his performance. That his vocal quality is very similar to Jon's was sweet, so the songs aLL sounded "right". Must be a chaLLenge to go out there night after night with your entire audience wishing you were someone else.
Great job, Oliver and Benoit!
Get well Jon!
Much love
-Mike

Forgot to throw some kudos to Alan, who seemed to be recovering nicely from his flu. If not, he hid it weLL and performed like a champ. It was a little hard to hear him, but I think that was more due to my seat location than anything under his control, and likely not the fault of the FOH technician.

Very fun time. Thought the new guys worked great. Howe seemed a bit off for the first few minutes of the opening song but that was the only flaw I saw. Just as glad they skipped ****.

Sure seemed like the band was calling itself Yes though. Yes on the marquis, Yes logo on the bass drum, Squire introducing the "newest members of the band" thereby suggesting it was not a new band but was still Yes.

Fine with me for them to do so, but disingenuous to claim they are not.

Great show in Reading;
After seeing so many shows it's always easy to see the warts, but they were very few. I was most impressed with Benoit. He seemed to handle the spotlight with great ease, and his voice was clear and provided strength in some areas where Jon may have been lacking of late.(Still not a replacement tho, by any stretch). Oliver seemed in and out of the mix at times, but played like a pro. Steve was his usual cheerful self.( I'm wondering if he throttled that spotlight operator after the show) Chris and Alan were, well... Chris and Alan. Overall great show, as usual.

What a most excellent show - Seeing Steve Howe play up-close was just mesmerizing - especially *****. The man is a god when it comes to playing. Oliver and Benoit were spot-on. Alan and Chris, always a thrill to see and hear Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves onstage. I've seen them on 4 other tours: '94 (Talk), '97 (Open Your Eyes), 2000, and 2002 (Classic) - and after hearing ********* live - it pretty much filled in all the gaps. And in our hometown of Reading, no less.

Just a wonderful evening - even on crutches with a broken ankle. I wouldn't miss these guys - even if I were in a coma ;-)

Exactly what I was going to post last night, lol...

That was amazing. I kept saying "wow: to myself over and over after that concert.

Sorry I missed you guys, if you made it to the Peanut Bar. My plan was to get there early enough to actually have dinner, but what was supposed to be a 1 hour, 50 minute drive from the A.C. area turned into 3 hours. It was a nightmare, the traffic on the back side of Philly. I arrived at the bar at 7:30 and didn't see any Yes t-shirts... so I grabbed a quick beer at the bar and wolfed down some peanuts.

Thank God for the peanuts!

I am so glad that went last night after going to Hershey last week. I will be honest the show in Hershey was a disappoinment. There were some real train wrecks and I was really kind of wondering if they had lost it. Well last night proved that the haven't. Oliver and Benoit did a heck of a job. Oliver really seemed to be up in the mix more and he did a really nice job on some of the classic bits that were lacking at Hershey. Benoit did a great job both nights and really impressed me. Steve was killer last night. 4 different solo pieces between the two shows which is great as well to have varity in the acoustic pieces. The crowd was rowdier and annoying at times, but did give a real long ovation at the end of a middle song in the second set that I think stunned the band a bit. They were ready to play the next song but we wouldn't let them!

Great pics, padelmike! I don't know why by 95% of my concert pics come out blurry...

I took 500 photos that night. The 15 here represents 3%.
Most of the Chris shots are blurry because he moves around so much.

I did take MPEG video of him during The Fish.

Not a whole lot of light on 'em. Do you use fast film or a high ASA setting on your digital?

Your photos came out great!!! Chris is hard to shoot. His face is usually in shadow. What kind of camera did you use? Looks like you were shooting at ISO 400. Nice deep colors. Excellent job!!!

BTW, Reading was my favorite performance of the shows I went to.

The MPEG file I uploaded to SendSpace does have sound embedded. I'm downloading it down to check, but what are you using to play back? The VLC Media Player that came through Azureus (Vuze) plays the sound with the pictures....
