the CD & cassette of "Classic Yes" contains 2 live songs "I've seen..." & "Roundabout", some years later I bought the LP and it only contains the studio tracks. Does anyone know what is this?

I can tell you EXACTLY what the deal is. When CLASSIC YES came out on vinyl in 1981, the track listing was:
Side 1 : HOTS, Wonderous, YIND
Side 2 : ST, LDR, FISH, AYAI
While it had nothing on the album jacket about it, brand new sealed copies had a sticker that stated "Includes a special 7 in. bonus disc with previously unreleased live versions of I'VE SEEN ALL GOOD PEOPLE and ROUNDABOUT". This 7 inch bonus disc had a black & white Atlantic label, a standard LP size center hole, and played at 33 1/3 rpm. The fact that there was nothing about this disc printed directly on the CLASSIC YES cover made it seem that this bonus disc would be included in only a limited number of albums. I don't know if they ever dropped it from the vinyl LP, but it's quite common to see used copies of the CLASSIC YES vinyl LP with the 7 inch disc missing. And likewise, you will sometimes find the 7 inch disc being sold by itself. When CDs became the norm, Atlantic did the right thing and included the 2 previously unreleased tracks on the compact disc of CLASSIC YES.

I must confess that I don't know if these 2 tracks were on the original cassette version of the album. The cassette I had of the album in the mid 1990's included the two tracks.

I had the cassette in the mid 80's and it did include the to live songs in question.

This was the second Yes item I purchased and really kick-started me into classic Yes. Hence the name of the album.

Great info Rob! I bought this cd just for those two songs- I got it used for $3.00. It was worth it. I noticed from the notes they were taken from '79 shows. Everything I've read about that tour (and I was there!) makes me want to hear the rest- especially the Tormato stuff, but I think there were also some un-released songs played.

Hey Rob (you seem to know these things) , are the songs off of Magnification DVD audio- the same ones off of Yes Symphonic DVD?

I was fortunate enough to get the 7" with the 12" when I bought it used many years ago....

Actually the tracks in question are from the '78 tour. Roundabout being from the Oakland Coliseum and I've Seen All Good People taken from one of the 1978 Wembley Empire Pool shows. This will always be my favorite version of ISAGP. The part where Jon introduces his bandmates for their solo riffs is extremely cool.
As far as the DVD-A MAGNIFICATION release, I think I read somewhere that the live tracks were taken from the Yes Symphonic DVD. I've yet to get a DVD player...
