A few years ago I heard Jon do Long Distance Run Around solo on acoustic guitar. Does anyone have the chords available to share? I would be eternally grateful.

Technically, these are keyboard chords I just figured out myself, so they might not be 100% accurate, but this should give you a good idea of what you're looking for:

(E79)Long distance(Bm)runaround
(E79)Long time, waiting to hear the(Bm)sound.
I still remember the dream there.
(G)I still remember the time we said goodbye.
(C)(G/B)Did we really tell lies,
(Am)(C/G)letting in the sunshine?
(F)(C/E)Did we really count to(Bb)(Bb/A)one(Bb/G)hund-(Bm/F)red?

and the finale:
(Em7/B)(A/C#)Looking for the(B7/D#)sunshine(A/E)

Vulpes,

Thank You so very very much. You've saved me many hours at the piano, trying to figure it out by myself. Interestingly enough, I thought you might also like to know that at the approximate time you were leaving this message I was seeing Yes in NH, USA. As they were doing LDR, I was thinking, gee I wonder if anyone will ever reply to my post.

Being part of the Yes community never ceases to amaze me. Jon is right. The world is basically a good place. 99% of people are kind and decent souls. Music like Yes's connects us spiritually in a way I think.

You are certainly very thoughtful to share this.

My eternal gratitude for sharing this tidbit with a fellow musician and life-long devopted Yesfan.

Best Regards, Phil

You're quite welcome! Always glad to help. Heh, seems I run into people at just the right time. I'm reminded of the time I showed someone a video clip of myself playing the piano interlude from South Side of the Sky, and then to find out that this was his favorite song!

Yes, I do believe in forces that bring people together at just the right moments. ;)

Man, between the "high" I'm still on from seeing the guys last night (front row center!), and getting these chords from you, how can anyone suggest that there are not special positive powers at work in the world?

Peace

Thank You. I'll try these out....interesting, these are a half step down and somewhat different than the piano chords provided me earlier. It'll be fun to work through these suggestions and come up with something that works for me on my twelve-string.

Yes, I suspected Jon did something with this on the Relayer Tour. I must have seen it in some compliation or maybe something from YesYears.

Thanks Again

Well, I took mine directly from Fragile, the album.

Interesting, that guy's guitar chords make sense if you call the first one C#9. A step and a half down from what you gave me (of course). .Check it out and you'll see what I mean. Good theory stuff.
