Man, I thought I was the only person who thought Michael Keaton did a sexy/bmf job as Batman! Everyone swooned over George Clooney and Kilmer but I thought Keaton nailed it.

I agree.
As far as I am concerned there is only one Batman and that is Adam West.

I don't think Adam West would look too hot in those tights these days. I think perhaps this refers to Batman the movie.

In 1989, about the time of the release of the Keaton version, the video store at our local mall was perpetually running the 1966 Batman on its display monitors. my friends and i from work would watch from a bench as we had a sandwich.
the movie would be at the part where batman and robin are strapped to that bouy, and batman is fiddling with that gadget, "If I can just ..."
and my friends and I (we're grown men, mind you) would chime in helpfully, "Reverse the polarity! Reverse the polarity!"
Batman: " ... reverse the polarity," and the day was saved ...
ah, youth ...
Q
AS TO WHO SHOULD PLAY BATMAN: WE NEED A FILM BASED ON THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS (1986) WITH A 55-YEAR-OLD OUTLAW BATMAN.
BRUCE WILLIS.

A bald Batman ?
The glare off the top of his head would be too much.

West would be hooded. No shine. Loved Burgess Meredith as the Penguin. DeVito was alright.

that it can't be topped.
I think they should do some other super hero who hasn't been portrayed so well.
All those guys in the series stamped themselves on those parts.
Frank was manic as the Riddler. Burgess was so far above DeVito as to make DeVito unwatchable for me.
Ceaser Romero was pure class and insanity all in one. Catwoman was perhaps a little less than the others.
Today I saw Spiderman for the first time and thought it worked very well. Possibly because the series wasn't that good.
I loved the cartoon when I was a kid.

A-HA! Now we get down to it. Nothing to do with the acting and all about the backside. Speaking of Julie Newman earlier....did you happen to catch
"To Wong Foo" LMAO. Wesley Snipes in drag! He made it work though.

I hated the old 60's show though Julie was very hot
Funny enough you know that Adam was going to be Batman in 89 but Bob kane gave the nod to Keaton not West

not a ribbon taker mind your but interesting.
Nightshift. Now THAT was a great movie and I love that old Commodores song as well.
I think Adam West in present day might not have given it the lift it needed. It just got too...what do I want to say, Tim Burton-esque. Going for gothic in Gotham?

What movie was the lovely Alicia in ?
Is Tim Burton the guy that did Beetlejuice ? If so then I understand the Gothic appearance more. He must have done Edward Scissor hands too ?

IMHO, Keaton was the best (and sexiest) Bruce Wayne, and of the movies, Val Kilmer the best Batman.
Alicia Silverstone must have just been there for eye candy, as she can't act her way out of a wet paper bag. But even if she could, she couldn't have saved "Batman and Robin" any; it's probably one of the worst movies I've ever seen!

Keaton may have returned for his third and the franchises 5th got this from zentertainment
while Im intrigued who gave you the infortmation about the new Batman film. You're pretty much right on the money.
Just a few things, the title isn't confirmed - the writers are merely a couple of camps scribbling drafts, and although you didnt mention it, all cast rumors from previous months are out. yes, Colin Farrell and the others.
My brother in law works in a design firm, and they're doing preliminary designs for the film. I think the best news of all for this film - which you may already know - is that Michael Keaton might be coming back as Batman. Keaton's about to sign for a multi picture deal at Warner, and the Batman film is one film he's being courted for. Apparently he's open to it too. It'll be a return to the dark gothic like feel of that first batman film. the Scarecrow is definitely the villain - heaps of people under consideration for that one though.
just thought you'd like some clarification and extra bits.
and what is this fifth movie well again from zentertainment
There is buzz that with all the hoopla over the new Superman project, Warner Bros. have secretly tapped the team from the film From Hell, Rafael Yglesias and Terry Hayes, to offer up a draft for a new Batman film. Details are sketchy at this point and all we know is that the working title is Batman: The Frightening and it will tell the story of Batman's first encounter with the Scarecrow. Actors being approached for the role of the Scarecrow include Jeff Goldblum, Christoher Lee, and Frank Langella.
thought all bat fans on this site would like to know this hell all they need is burton and the got a blockbuster that may even win a few acadamy awards

Devito is the pegui in fact casting villians wise the only film the royaly screwed up was Batman and robin Arnold as freeze what Patrick stewart would have made a much better (and lets not forget believable) Freeze.
I always thought david bowie would have made a good joker ...

interesting very interesting
Tommy Lee Jones was wasted as Two Face. He's a terrific actor when he actually is given good material, and Two Face could have been an interesting character. It was a major throwaway, just to broaden Jim Carrey's platform ...

I sadi the caqsting was good i never said the script was good Batman returns i feel was the last great batman movie I can barely stomach Forever and Batman and robin was so bad that hgell the you couldn't pay me to watch it
Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy is "Batman and Robin's" saving grace ...
i think Clooney could have been good if there had been an actual script ...
