Dinner for two with a member of Yes ?

How does that work if fifty people pay for that one?

So, is this what became of this?

For those fans that are interested; as well as releasing this new cut on DVD as a limited edition, it will be screened at a number of theatres during the month of August, throughout the UK. One Night Only, Big Screen, Big Sound. Dates and venues for these screenings are being scheduled at the moment and a full list of theatres where fans will have the opportunity to see this ‘one off’ opportunity, will be posted in the next week or so.

Or are other dates / venues being planned? (And am I the only one to be amused by the phrase "the opportunity to see this ‘one off’ opportunity"?)

Whereabouts is this being shown?

Pretty crap press release if they don't even say that!

It's at Shepperton Studios, on the outskirts of London.
I think that ClassicT studios are part of Shepperton?

Yes, Classic T is the part of Shepperton where Rick filmed his "Other Side of RW" dvd.

Awful press release.

Done a quick Google search but I can't actually find out where the place is or how to get home from it.

Think I'll give it a miss - if I can't understand the darned thing, I bet others can't either.

Ok, so who's going? And who is planning to shell out on the "dinner with an (unnamed) Yes member?"

the Yes member could do the waiter duties, therefore everybody can speak to him

Waiters aren't spoken to in England, they're ignored, its as if they didn't exist.

Hello good people. Sorry if some of you felt the Press Release was not suitable. The label, Classic Studio T, are truly trying to present YES fans with a great event and at a reasonable price. Of course, it is part of the promotion campaign for the new Director's Cut (DVD), but whether all members of this forum feel it or not we do value YES fans very highly and want to create a great product and a unique event at the same time.

Sorry the information posted on this forum did not include an address for the special screening in the UK on Sept 5th:

The address will be:

Classic T Stage
Shepperton Film Studios
Studio Road, Shepperton.
Middlesex. TW17 0QD
UK

This is not too far from the M25 junction and indeed Heathrow Terminal 4. We can see on the forum that there were some questions about the screening/dinner will work. The dinner will take place with a member of YES in the restuarant area here at the studios. There will obviously be a number of fans present for this...not just 1 table but we do hope to keep it as exclusive as possible with a great atmosphere. Then there will be the screening following dinner and a meet and greet.

We have really enjoyed producing the Yes Director's Cut and it is due to come from Pressing Plant any day now. We are very sorry if some of your orders for this have been delayed but we had the opportunity to add more content to the package and increase it from a 1 Disc Set to a 2 Disc Set. It includes the FULL Birmingham, UK 2003 Show and Glastonbury Festival Show. We can confirm these are full legnth tracks. Look out for a full tracklisting and running time early next week on this forum.

I am sure you will further queries about the DVD and the screening...feel free to email any further questions along to: info@classic-media-group.com and we will do our best to get you a prompt reply next week.

We have really enjoyed working on the Yes Director's Cut and we hope you enjoy watching it. Once again, sorry to anyone who has been delayed on receiving the disc.

All the best

It is usual when promoting a venue in the London area to mention the nearest tube/rail stop.

Bluegrunt

Shepperton is outside the London Underground area. The nearest railway station is Shepperton, about 1 and a half miles from the studios. Last train Shepperton to Waterloo looks to be 23:11, so it doesn't seem impossible to get there by public transport.

What would I give for this event? I would love to see it, but I can't I'm too far away...and I've already booked a flight to the UK for this November, because of my birthday...boo-hoo I want Wakey...http://smiliestation.de/smileys/Traurig/28.gif

If you are coming to the UK why don't you write to Rick at Planet Rock and ask if you can sit in on his show? No harm in asking.

Nina, I think as Rick's Number One Fan and one so far from England, you deserve the very most out of your trip to Wakey's country. If there was any one person who deserved to see him live in November, it would be you. I'd certainly get in touch with Planet Rock!

What I was getting at is that it wasn't mentioned in the press release.

Seems like a well intentioned idea with a poor venue and a poor marketing strategy.
