Ok, so I have to confess I had fallen away from yes for years. I had OYE, Talk, Union, ABWH, then stopped buying (not for any particular reason). So Now I'm stoked for the new tour and am buying everything I didn't own including Keys 1 & 2. I love them but something happens after the crescendo on Turn of the Century that sounds really odd... are they changing keys or something? I just can't get used to it or figure out what is going on. A little help?

Yeah, they play it in a different key (though I'm not sure about the original GFTO tour), a few semitones lower, if I remember correctly, haven't played them side-by-side for long.
The same goes for the title GFTO track (again, if my memory serves me well, which it sometimes fails to).

It sounds like a modulation of sorts. Sometimes when these artists play something for the ten trillionth time they like to rearrange things. What I find far more interesting is a bit further on Rick hits an obvious clunker and they left it in!

I think it may be due to Jon's voice being at its peak in 76/77, and although Jon might be the singer whose voice has aged the best of all singers (along with maybe Roger Hodgson), he couldn't reach all the superhigh notes later.

I can understand if that's why, but it just seemed like a really awkward modulation... It could have been a lot smoother. It's a shame because I thought it was magical until then.

And yes, done for Jon's voice.
