Every record tells a story. It depends on the context you listen each one, the other stuff you've been listening to at the same time, if you are a musician or not (i'm a musician, so my ears are able to feel different stuff, for good, or bad...).
For example, Close to the edge blew my mind, but maybe that's was exactly what I wanna listen at those days. Maybe I was looking for that kind of music.
With 90125 the same things happent to me. It's clearly different, in many ways, but it was so shocking, fresh, and modern, and maybe that's what I want to hear in 1983. It was VERY different, but it was still Yes, and in a really good shape.
Out of every prejudice, I love "both bands".
The "not so good" (I don't like to say "worst") records is Open your eyes. Maybe they lost the horizon, and the objectives. I think the guys wanted to build another 90125, but without Trevor, thatīs impossible. And another not so good one is Big Generator, but in the other hand, I loved the shows of that tour.
