I have only more recently discovered some of the magic on this one...Onward really shines for me now after getting to know the KTA version...

Okay, gotta do it. I just found myself re-shocked at popular opinions regarding this album, and I thought after 6 years at Yesfans I'd be past that.

My feelings on this album have not changed very much since I first got it around 1990 or so. I find this album engaging and unique, and essentially like it every bit as much as GFTO or maybe even a little more. I might go as far as to say that I don't really think they've released many records since Tormato that are much better!

You know, one by one, there aren't really any BAD songs on here, per se, but there aren't too many truly GREAT ones either....so maybe that's what it is with Tormato...a collection of moderately good to very good songs.....but in the context of what had come before it just didn't resonate with the fans at the time...I mean its hard to follow up an album like GFTO...
