I just got the album today and am wondering what the most popular tracks off it are.

It's hard to pick a single track. It's really one of the best "Yes" albums, though overlooked at all the 'best album' rankings.

Brother of Mine is a true Yes classic, but then if there was one song that should be preserved if the album disappeared, it would be The Meeting.

But I repeat, it's hard to find any weak spots on the album.

for me it's Birthright, but I also love the Meeting, Order of the Universe, Brother of Mine, Themes, Fist of Fire (Wakey's Keys...WOW),...and much more...but I've voted for Birthright.

Yup.... love this album too. I saw that show I think 20 times. Outside at jones beach on a starry summer's night I recall one of the shows.

It only missing a few things such as the twangy twisted low end of a rickenbacker counterpointing with the rumble of the bass pedals. And some non synthetic drums and percussion and, oh yeah, maybe some emotion from the drum kit area... sorry bill. Ayways yup... its a good album.
I would love to hear brother of mine with chris and alan, live! I'm sure alan would attack it like he attacked close to the edge on yessongs. In a more emotional, powerful, organic kind of way than the studio version. Sorry bill.
I also love the video for quartet i'm alive. I'm not gay but jon looks almost doable in that video. For a guy he looks hot.
Hello all you yesheads....

I'll go with Birthright for a favorite song.

But most of the songs are excellent . . .

The only ones I could really do with out are The Meeting (it was "cute" at first, with all the references to other Yes songs), Teakbois (the pseudo-calypso and la-la-la-la-la-la-lalah-----), and Let's Pretend.

Yes, Chris' presence is sorely missed, both on bass and vocals, and the multilayered Jon vocals doesn't carry the same weight without Chris' voice somehow. And yes, Bill's electrodrums sound somewhat dated no matter how well he plays them.

That said, it's one of my favorite Yes albums (but, then again, my tastes in Yes albums has always been suspect . . . )

I went with Brother of Mine. Sounded just like classic Yes.

To me, the music to "Brother Of Mine" (except part 3) sounds very Pink Floyd / David Gilmour-esque, much like Gilmour from the 80s, and it's my favourite.

I like em all. Little different. I like alot of Jon's sappy love stuff. Really want to hear a great version of "the Meeting" look at "piano piece" on the Views d.v.d. on Roger Dean that Rick put out. No vocals, longer-more powerful. I played when I met my daughet the first time in the deliveryroom. Use to play that song all the time in the car to calm her down; hell, it always calms me down. It's magical. peace and love

Actually, my favorite ABWH song is I Would Have Waited Forever, but I guess since apparently neither Rick or Steve are on most of it, it doesn't count.

I like Themes, Fist of Fire, Brother of Mine, Birthright, The Meeting, Order of the Universe, Let's Pretend...

It was Fist of Fire that sold me on this album at first though.

A great album, one of the best Yes albums. accessible, daring, varied, energetic, looking to the future and full of great songs.

I've voted for Themes: a wonderful innovative album opener, and I remember loving when they played it live: Jon and Rick had great fun twiddling about at the keyboards together, Bill machine guns into it, Steve, Rick and Jon go airborne when they come in and Bill and Tony just gave it a fabulous close.

Brother of Mine is Wonderful, as is The Meeting, Birthright and The Order of The Universe, Quartet is excellent and, though i don't like Teabois, the "This summer you couldn't get it" close is absolutely haunting.

But it's not a Yes album.....

Aw, c'mon....just cause it doesn't have the name or the Fish?

It's still a Yes album to me! :D

Fave track - Birthright

One should seek out "Vultures in the City" if they like ABWH...great B-side.

I think the best of the lot is Brother of Mine because it's a great 11 minute track in the tradition of Heart of the Sunrise and And You And I.

It is HARD to pick only ONE song on this Album. I love the flow of the songs and the inspiration each one gives to me.

Order of the Universe would have to be my Best pick, if I HAD to.

I love to be in the company of other folks who love this album.

So why are you spread all over the globe?

Oh ... ahem ... I mean, so isn't it great that we're all virtually together?

My current favorite is "Themes", but I really love every song mostly evenly. "The Meeting" is an obviously great piece, and I also love "Teakbois". "Quartet part iv ~ I'm Alive" was my first dance at my wedding .... but we used the version from the In The Big Dream video. It's also on the single, I later learned, and I love that version.

"Birthright" has seriously grown on me over the years, while the rest of "Quartet" is starting to sound a little too silly lately ...

"Order of the Universe" is awesome too, ... but I don't think I agree with all the lyrics about how much rock and roll has to do with it. The Universe was pretty much very similar before the 1950s.
