Oh my... This is tough!
I think they all go really good together... But I'll say I get up, I get down.

Total Mass Retain - it brings order from chaos (The Solid Time Of Change), it introduces the main musical theme of CTTE (repeated in I Get Up, I Get Down and Seasons Of Man), it has imo, the best lyrics of the entire piece and danged if it don't rock!

The Solid Time of Change
Dom, you sir, have taken the very words from my mouth.
The years pass, and the brilliance of this section does not diminish; only grows greater.
The whole song is wonderful, but it is all set up by this initially.Close To The Edge would be less far without it.

I don't know what to choose...I love every part, they are all so great. The whole track is a masterpiece. I can't split it in parts.

I agree with everyone, the whole thing comes together so well, I wouldn't listen to any part on its own, but the part that got me from the first time I heard it, the first Yes song I heard, was "I Get Up, I Get Down". After the amazing chaos and brashness of the opening, this is just a beautiful oasis of emotion - it has always sent shivers down my spine and brought a lump to the throat.

Seasons of Man for me. This does it for me every time:
'Then according to the man who showed his outstretched arm to space,
He turned around and pointed, revealing all the human race.
I shook my head and smiled a whisper, knowing all about the place.
On the hill we viewed the silence of the valley,
Called to witness cycles only of the past.
And we reach all this with movements in between the said remark.'
The sheer majesty of it is awesome.

Rick's organ solo is the best part!....his best solo ever!

The studio version, Rick's synth solo after the completion of the vocals on "I get up..." section!
still, to this day, it leaves me totally speechless for a few minutes. I always pause the CD after it's over. Just long enough to recover before flipping the vinyl over

Rick's solo is my favorite part.
But since I had to vote for a movement, I went with "Seasons of Man", as the solo is part of that movement.

Seasons of Man, particularly Rick's Hammond solo.
But it's all good.

"the truth is written all along the page
how old will i be when i come of age...
i get up....i get down"....then Wakey's slow and gut wrenching intro into his brief synth bit....
so i guess it would be....I Get Up...I Get Down

III. I Get Up I Get Down
The majority of it is pure musical bliss and then the intensity of the instrumental break that comes right before Rick's solo that kicks off the last movment.
Closely followed by I. Solid Time of Change
I'll never forget the first time I heard it, it was like nothing I'd ever heard before. It competley flabbergasted me.

the thing about the i get up i get down part is, for me, it could be alot more intricate. when the song goes into the organ part that just keeps repeating it goes on for too long. it's really goood but by itself the part isn't enough i think it needs more filling

totally disagree!
It's so relaxing, catchy, and just really great.
It used to be total Mass Retain. But after listening to the song so many times, overall the best part is the I get up I get Down. Really just great.
