I haven't got my copy of the new boxed set yet, but I was wondering which of the 5 'new' songs is most liked. From what I hear these tracks are interesting although not astonishing. What's the best, and what makes it so?

Damn me if I wasn't going to pose this very question myself today. I don't intend shelling out megabucks for a few paltry tracks but I am interested in knowing what others think

'Richard' hands down, although 'Tango' is really growing on me. But 'Richard' grabbed me the first time I heard it.

Richard is the only one that I like of the bunch. It sounds complete, like it could have been released on Tormato, the vocals sound finished and it has a decent kbd track. The other ones sound more like ideas that were never finished, and Last Train doesn't even sound like YES - it is a blues rock type piece that is done very roughly here. Tango has some interesting kbd work, but Jon sounds out of breath and the drumming is completely rudimentary. The instrumental piece with Chris and Steve could have developed into something - who knows - but it didn't and is heard here in its infancy.

It is Richard for me also.
It very well could have easily been on the Tormato album. Probably would have been if CD's had been around then.
The others are interesting in that they show works in progress or ideas not at their final cut. Kind of like the It Can Happen from the Yesyears boxset that shows a version before the final version released.

"Richard" is obviously the best of the lot. "Crossfire" is a good cut too, but Rhino felt the need to cut in half for some reason.

Couldn't disagree more about Keystudio. I think its Yes' best work since GFTO.

Are you playing a game? Like which of these doesn't match the others?
The answer is Keys, because it's AWESOME.

Crossfire, with Never Done Before a close second...Tang & Richard are more complete songs....but I think those had more potential....Last train just sounds like a Jam to warm up or something...which is cool, but not a REAL song in my book....
