Hello,
Do we think YES is still going to jam in concert and crank the system up, or do you think they are going to be relaxed and play soft?
I would like to see them Jam harder then they ever have before. I think the orchestra is going to their head. They are wussing out. I think they are just going to let the orchestra do the work. . They are going to relax, and the concert is going to be soft and easy listening. :(
IT will be my first time seeing them and I see a dissapointment in the making.

Personnally, I didn't think Yes jammed out that much or had it cranked the last couple of tours, however, I I have the feeling, or should I say the hope, that the orchestra will be there more for backing than anything else.

I agreed nightliner until I saw the Masterworks, that show was pumpin'! If they are going to play Gates, it will have to be jammin.

I'm confident that Steve, Chris and Allen will jam. The keyboard situation is an unknown (I don't know if the leftover Meatloaf guy jams or not). I think it will be less jammy than Masterworks, but I think Yes will avoid the problem that Procol Harum had on their live album with an orchestra, where those versions of the songs were actually weaker than the studio versions, with the exception of "Conquistador."

Well, the few times I've seen them ( only on videos :( ) they always really jammed and made the crowd go crazy :)))
It will be the same as always, I think.

I am hoping that the whole grandeur of having an orchestra on stage with them will be a big motivator to Rock and not let the orchestra make a majority of the impression :D We will see :damack:

This is Exactly what I am afraid of.. I think they have an orchestra because they are too old to play themselves.

Too Old? B.S. Yes jammed with an edge last year at the MW tour. They'll kick some royal philharmonic ass. You can bet yours.

OLD? Well, they certainly aren't young whippersnappers anymore, and they can't play the really intense songs back to back anymore. But, I think they're doing a fine job of playing some really tough songs.

So, ? Jeffrae
Did you see them?
Did they wimp out?
I do hope you weren't as dissapointed as you were expecting to be... or did they kick some serious a..?
I,ve read some mixed reports but mianly positive.
I will not be seeing the tour so every bit of feedback is better than not seeing.

They Kicked the Major ASS
Infact when they did the songs without the Orchestra I kind of missed the orchestra because it did not sound as full.
The orchestra was a great addition!!!
THey Rocked!!
Gates and Ritual were phenonimal

The show here in Minneapolis was awesome! After hearing them with an orchestra, I wondered why they never toured with one before, and it will sound strange to hear them play without one! The extended pieces were exceptional.

I am so glad for you. Obviously it was a good day.
I have just heard on the grapvine that the band may be planning a trip to OZ.
That will be a good day - off to the heart of the sunrise ... we'll be in heaven.
Perhaps we can talk all the YESFANS into joining them for the trip .. STARSHIPTROOPERS (and WESTS of course) as such .. to the land of OZ.

Hopefully there will be something for everyone to enjoy!
With an orchestra as the foundation, yes will have all the more freedom to explore musical tangents. I would hope that they would use the orchestra for both purposes; one- to create the soothing, simplistic, easy going parts and pieces while also; two- creating a stong and forceful exhhileration which they are so completely capable of.
A little something for every mood......!
I hope everyone who sees them enjoys them with an open heart and mind. Let your feelings be your guide. :anicandyc

I would love to hear a real wimpy album by Yes. Something that justs drifts off into sleepytime. Whereas they simply are too pathetically relaxed and feeling overly nice and loving.
Soft as a Dove.

Pretty funny reading this as Yes definitely cranked it up nice and loud in 2004.

it's at 39 to 6 and I voted for jamming. I somehow cannot see them simply sitting with those in the pit.

I personally would like to see them hit hard...hard and complex...like Yessongs. Steve sounds best loud, with the rythym section BOOM....Go Chris!
