I'm listening to it for the first time just now. Soundwise, it is suprisingly good considering it is sourced from C-90 cassette. It's a lot more than just a dodgy document of a forgotten prog-rock band.
I would recommend this one for the fans of the Refugee studio album.
That said, as much as i love the only album they made, i never thought Refugee held THAT much promise (compared to King Crimson, ELP or Pink Floyd), but i'ts hard to say what they might have accomplished given time to do few more albums. I mean, Yes' first album was no "Close to the Edge" either.

It's a shame that Patrick wasn't better documented, I have very fond memories of listening to Refugee and Mainhorse in high school. I've seen this CD but have passed due to the "$".

They are both very good albums. I love the feeling that "Mainhorse" have, they won't make albums like that anymore.
I have bought all Patrick's albums since they were re-released on Voiceprint, and i can recommend them all. Along with "Refugee Live" i also got ESP today and i've listened to it three times already today.
It's amazing how diverse his style is, same guy who made prog-rocky "Refugee" and "Story of I", also made synth-pop of "Time Code" and solo pianos of "ESP", yet you can always tell it's Moraz.

"Story of I".
Now that's an album that I would like to hear a live version of. I love "Story of I".
