There still lives this guy named "Geddy"
Whose bassing cannot be called petty,
When the candles he blows
Snuff under his nose
He'll shrill and sing "Cake me, I'm ready!"

Happy 49th birthday to the one, the only Geddy Lee!
Celebrate!

Put on a Rush CD
Watch a baseball game in his honour
Learn the words to "O Canada"
Get a nose job

---- It don't matter, baby!

Would you happen to know if tickets are on sale in Denver yet?

Jan

There once was a guy named Pearty
Who played with a bassist named Geddy
No one could beat his velocity
With a drum kit that is not a monstrosity
Pearty is pretty steady and ready.

Just messin' around. smile.

Yep, I think all the tickets are on sale for the remaining shows. Check out rush.com for info.

Speaking of Pearty, 28 years ago today, he joined the band!

Jan -

You may want to expedite your purchase if you are planning to go. I bought mine the day they went on sale and the best I could get was near the front of section 204 at Fiddlers's Quiet Residential Zone. I hope Rush SEVERELY violates the noise restrictions.

Upcoming birthdays -

"Lerxst" Lifeson - August 27 (49)
"Professor" Peart - September 12 (The Big 5-0!!)

Hey, everyone, I have a question. Let me preface this by saying beauty is skin deep. I think Peart is extremely talented, probably the best percussionist I have ever known. But, did something happened to his face? In many of his photographs, he seems to have either scars, a skin condition, or really baggy eyes. His latest "photo" on their website, shows him with a "clearer" face. Is he getting enough sleep? I was just wondering if anyone can answer this for me?

Thanks, Jan

I dunno, Jan. But knowing what he's been through the past few years; I'm surprised he's still alive!

There once was a man named Geddy,
who thought that Rush was rock steady,
until one day he heard,
he looked like a bird,
and chopped off his beak. Poor ol' Geddy!

I LOVE Rush and if I could have alone time with Alex....muhahahahahaaaa!

There once was a drummer called Neil
Who could flare and groove with such feel
He wrote about Trees
And mental disease
While travelling the world by wheel.

There once was a man named Geddy
Whose voice was high-pitched and heady
He played bass and sang prose
Though a magnificent nose
And dreamed of a Red Barchetti *

(* Barchetta does not rhyme with Geddy)

Young Alex loved curry with spice on
and thought he would box like Mike Tyson!
But more fun by far
was to play the guitar
though his daddy said "STOP!!! Get a life, son!!!"
