Would you be in favor of a Yes and Ex Yes (lets say Cinema for sake of poll) tour. Have Yes as we know it today playing as they are now, and Cinema, ex yes members Including Rabin, Kaye, Bill, or who ever else that wants in to play as a opening act. Would you go to the show.

Well if it was just for Yes themselves, I would go! Yet such a perfect opening band.

Didn't they kind of already do that with the Union tour? I can't see that ever happening again. For those of us that were fortunate enough to see a Union tour show, I hope you can remember it, LOL. I barely do.

This tour would be a little diff in that you have the CLASSIC line up doing the "HOWE" Yes, and the "Rabin" Yes line up doing the non HOWE stuff. Thus a show with two groups doing about 1.45 hour sow each!

Wouldn't only Steve and Wakeman(or whoever) walk off the stage though? Jon, Alan, and Chris would be up there the whole time right?

Well I can see Jon NOT doing the EX Yes stuff. Lets hear the Cinema lineup as it was orig. intended.

I like that idea! Here's a suggestion for the lineup of "Cinema," or whatever the heck you would call it:

Trevor Horn, vocals and bass (he plays bass, doesn't he?)
Trevor Rabin, guitar and vocals
Geoff Downes, keyboards (Tony Kaye is retired, right? Of course, Trevor Horn seems to be retired from touring, too, so this might require some rethinking)
Tony Levin, bass and stick (I know, some of you don't think that ABWH is Yes, but it would be cool to have him be part of this.)
Bill Bruford, drums/percussion

If we can't have Trevor Horn, I guess you would be left with a quartet, with Rabin handling the lion's share of the vocals. But I think you have a heckuva band, either way.

I think that would be a brilliant idea, but I don't know that personality problems can be put aside. I would have much preferred that Cinema never became Yes anway. With the name Yes, came certain expectations about what the band could and could not do.

ABWH was most certainly Yes - without a doubt. Sound - musicians etc.... Especially if Drama was Yes.

I have no problem with the X-members doing there on thing. But "NO" as them being on the same stage with Classic Yes,they aren't worthy.Let them have their on tour to play for the west fans. Then at a different Venue have Classic Yes play for the Classic fans many miles away!;)

I would go along and see the surrogate YES as long as they played yessongs that did'nt clash with the real YES current set. They would have to be the support band to YES and donate their fee to charity. No Chance

Not worthy. I don't know about that. If not for the unworthy parts of Yes we would not be here because that is what I cut my teeth on with Yes, then I got into ALL OF IT and still do!

How about a single show? If they could round up everyone for one night, and I mean everyone, Peter Banks, Bill Bruford, everybody. Get each group together and do a mini-set, and rotate members as the group changed. Sorry Chris, you'll be up there all night. Rick will be bouncing on and off stage. They could film it, so someday we all could see it Eh?

That would be soo cool and then they all could get up and do roundabout (you realize steve, jon, alan, and Trevor would also be there most of the night)

IŽd love to see such a show.
Would be interesting to see them all together.
YouŽll never get such a good chance to get autographs from all of them:-)

IŽd like to know what theyŽd play

Actually, This is a tremendous idea to celebrate their anniversary but it could only be a one off thing and would have to be filmed and recorded. 4 songs from each version of the band.
It could be called "stages" and have separate stage set ups for each incarnation. OR maybe a 2 day event-"classic" one day, West, drama, & etc the other day ???
the two BIG problems are- can you get EVERYBODY to agree to do it? AND Where would it be???????? :band:

They could do what Moraz Bruford (and I believe Jon and Vangelis did) play three shows One In Tokyo One in London and One in new jerarsy at Giant stadium (hell do a whole tour of football stadiums you'll be able to sell them out cause they'rew will probably be a whole lot of fans that want to see the True Full Circle tour

The "STAGES" idea is fantastic, but I doubt everyone would take part. They really should though SEEING THAT NO ONE IS DEAD. Perhaps one show in the US and one in the UK, both filmed for CD/DVD release.

Hey....this thread completely aside.........I want to see jcostello's band (reply#7). My god that would be an awesome assembly. A wonderful meld of Yes/King Crimson/Cinema. King Yes. Too cool.
