I am looking at the In A Word... track list on Rhino's site for the listening party..and I am looking at the song *The Calling* clocking in at 6:56... is this an extended version????

It's nothing special - just a little slow guitar insert in the middle. Doesn't seem to fit there to me.

the 'extension' in The Calling is very similar to the atmospheric and calm piece in the song Finally from The Ladder...

Well if it is the extended version it should go for 8min 8secs.

If it does go for only 6min 56secs it is the shortened or lite version.

I've always liked the extended version better myself. It was the first version I heard because it was on the World Premier of Talk radio show. It is an atmospheric keyboard/guitar ascending chord progression, just before the organ and guitar solos

It was an extra track on the Japanese CD, and is also on the rereleased version. I don't have a copy here, though, so I can't verify the track times.
