I just received Best Buy's circular for the coming week and they are advertising the In a Word boxed set for $49.99, which is better than Rhino's price and comparable to CDNow's pre-order price.

I unfortunately pre-ordered it through CDNow, but I may cancel as long as I can find out if my Best Buy will have it in stock. They are notorious for either ordering only a couple copies or not having Yes releases on release date.

I am going to go see them in Mass. on Friday, and I have to leave Thurs night to get there. I want to hear especially SSotS before that time and I am afraid CDNow won't ship it in time.

Would be nice to know a friend working in a CD shop who gets a 30 % discount.

Ahh, it certainly would be nice to get that employee discount. Callled BestBuy today to find out about the status and availability of the set. The employee checked but it didn't come in early, and he had no way of knowing what would come in. Of course, very *helpful* as all big chains usually are, and just as in tune to the important stuff. Couldn't even guarantee it would be in, though it is advertised in the circular. Well, in any case, I cancelled my CDUniverse order (which was $1 cheaper, but, with shipping charges and waiting time, not worth the immediacy of buying it at the store).. So now I am taking a chance on my local Best Buy having it, and enough so that if others buy it, there will be one left. If they don't, looks like I will place my order with CDUniverse again.

Shoot Sherlock... my local Best Buy had zero in stock at lunch today. A quick check of their computer system showed that not any stores in the Dallas area got their stock in for today's "release"! What's worse - they probably won't have them in stock before the sale price ends on Saturday. For those interested go to Best Buy and get a rain check.

Luckily my daughter has connections at a local Bookstore chain with a 25% discount... and they did get 1 copy in.

BTW, CDUniverse also is selling them for $49.95.

I saw In A Word for £49.99, which would be about $70-$80.

I know this thread is old but I wanted to thank you folks for the heads up on this one. Thanks to this thread I got the set at the $ 49.99 price.

Let's keep the current information up.
