Magnification dvd-a has shipped

I just received an email from DVD Empire saying they have shipped my dvd-audio of Magnification. I all ready have a sampler disc with a couple tracks from the album, but it looks like I'll soon have the whole thing. I can't wait based on what I have heard so far. This could very well be my new demo disc.

I have heard this DVD-A for Mag. has several nuances that the regular cd does not. I have been uncertain whether I wanted to purchase this or not. It seems impossible to come by in any stores. Maybe it isn't even stocked yet, not sure.

I've had the sampler for several months, but now I have the whole thing. Songs like WeAgree and Can You Imagine weren't on the sampler, but they are two of the better sounding songs. Itssafe to say there is addition instrumentation on every song, with some added vocals. The cd sounded nice, this sounds better.

It has nice Magnification like graphics for the menus and sog screens. Each song has a set of 3 photographs taken from the Symphonic tour, and the lyrics viewable onscreen.

Additional features are an audio only (?) live version of In the Presence Of and the Symphonic dvd version of Magnification. There is also about 4 minutes of the band talking about the recording of the album. No earth shattering information. Its done bythe Gottliebs. As a side note, Jon is the oldest of the group, but he looks to be in the best condition. Steve and Alan will soon be needing the hair club for men.

The disc is compatible with all dvd players, even the video portions. It also has surround and stereo tracks for those who don't have a dvd-a player.
