Trevor Rabin is one person I thought would be discussed much more here.

Anyone up for a Howe or Rabin poll? Nah!

He does get discussed here quite a lot but there's not much to discuss right now. The archives are full of interesting stuff.

Be sure to visit the thread with all the photos of Trevor.

I made my first post at Yesfans (http://yesfans.com/showpost.php?p=243658&postcount=155) in that thread.

My photos of Trevor begin on post #161 (page 9)

Under the general "Trevor Rabin" thread I'll give some general thoughts:

-- For someone who has received so much unjust criticism from "fans" of YES, he has always been a class act in whatever Rabin interviews I've read. Even listening to that last interview posted recently, his voice sounds positive in anything YES-related.

-- I respect that when he left the band to do his film work he has focused on that and become successful in that area. Too often there's the "leave and return" thing with bands. Rabin seems to have a focus that should be commended. It must have been tempting to return when asked numerous times. Doing the same thing over and over again doesn't seem to interest him. That quality would be great if he ever did rejoin the band because I sense he would never want to be part of a "nostalgia tour/band."

-- From the outside, it seems like he has an ability to grow and adjust that is special. From 90215 to Big Generator to Talk he went from being nearly the sole artistic force to collaborating with Jon Anderson on a fantastic final album with YES.....even if Steve Howe doesn't like it.

-- Again from the outside he seems like a nice guy. In a band that has seemed to have alot of personal conflicts, it seems like most of the guys who worked with Rabin like and respect him.

I hope we see him do another solo rock album or with a band again soon.

There's a certain amount of Trevor-bashing here, with many fans dissing and disminssing the three and a half YesWest albums.

Likewise, there's a great many Yes fans that thoroughly enjoy the music released while Trevor was in the band.

Trevor's contributions were many. I love most of the work that he's been involved in. I'd love to see him recording with Chris and Alan. I think 90125 and TALK are brilliant. And BG isn't bad either. The Rabin contributions to Union are likewise excellent.

And he seems to be a genuinely nice guy.

Just saw a "new / old" release listed on CD Universe. Greatest hits would best describe this track listing.
