In another thread, someone suggested that I and other folks on Yesfans who play instruments should post some of their music.

How would one do that properly? I have MP3's but am not sure how to make them available to you all.

Suggestions?

Mitch

You could try uploading them to a website.

I for one would love to hear all the music that the folks here create. (If I can put my redition of "The Gates Of Delirium" in the shower onto MP3 then I will!)

Thanks,
I hope it attempts to keep prog rock alive to some degree....(not), even if is just a bunch of unsigned local home studio garage band wannabes like me playing this music.

Bookmark the site, email to a friend..ect.

We'll I've been booted as moderator! :stick:

It's been fun. I hope the next guy can do better.
I'm pulling my offer to host MP3's and have stopped any projects I had going with the yesfans group. I probably won't be able to answer any questions anymore as well but I'm sure the new moderator will be a wealth of knowledge and have more time to devote to administating this cool group.
Good luck with your projects, mine is doing very well.
Cheers,

Daniel

These boys have some real talent -

Check out "Silence of the Night". They opened the Wakeman show with this one, followed by an acoustic rendition of "Long Distance Runaround".
Also try "Behind The Curtain" (based on the moment before the curtain opened) and "Common Ground".
I hope you like them ?

Hey fellow Yesfans! I play Keyboards, Percussion & vocals in a Progressive-Improv Dallas-based group called MAGPU. We have a midied zylophonist(MalletKat), keys, drums, bass, & guitar.
Check out our website at:

www.magpu.com

We are all into Zappa, PHISH, YES, King Crimson, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Genesis, ELP, Ozric Tentacles, Dream Theater, Rush etc.

The only sad thing is that we are playing our last show as MAGPU on Friday, 9/13 in Dallas due to our bass player moving to Austin and after almost 5 years as a band. The show will be at The RedBlood Club in Deep Ellum.

FREE beer, FREE cover - 3 sets!!!!

I just ordered The YES deluxe songbook the other night and it contains pretty much everything they have recorded. After hearing that some of you are interested in making a tribute album, I thought I would love to be a part of it somehow with my fellow bandmember, who is equally a huge YESfan! Together, we have a frightening arsenal of musical equiptment and recording capabilities. I'll talk to him and see what could materialize. YES changed both our lives and musical perspectives a long time ago and it would be awesome to give something back in return as a 'thankyou'.

I have some music out there:

www.mp3.com/whitespace

that's my old band, really overblown and pretentious, but proggy. It's definitely not the greatest, but a good early experiment with prog-rock.

www.mp3.com/joecampbell

this is a demo of a song I am re-recording and totally reworking, but it's okay, especially if you sit back and toke on one while listening!;)

I can't wait to put all my new music up on the mp3.com/joecampbell site. I just got done recording a bunch of shorter, poppier, and much more mature songs to post up there, but have to get them on CD first so I can make an MP3, and when I do, you guys will be the first to know!
