Oh man oh man oh man...this was hot. Anyone in the NYC area should try to catch Bill & his Earthworks quartet playing at Iridium through the 5th of November. Shows at 8:30 , 10:30 & midnite.
I was not going to attend because the last time I saw the group it was kinf of boring. Really slow jazz and not what I came to expect from Bruford after so many smoking gigs with Crimson, Yes, UK & Bruford band. This was as hot as any of those shows. Incredible fusion from the master drummer. As if time had stood still or better was transformed 30 years ago. The music was very similar to his stuff with National Health and Bruford solo...see this gig
