Okay, this is very sad, decadent and depraived... but who's your favourite girl in the orchestra? Come on, don't be shy. You know you noticed a cutie in there! Don't lie to yourself.

And YesFems... you can fess up, I won't judge ya! ;) Neither will anyone else, right guys?

to take time to say the blond with the Cello. Shame on all of us for such sexist sentiments.

back to work....

yes, exactly... please excuse us for being male.

I'd have to say the one that catches my eye the most (and the director's apparently) is the blonde with the cymbals. I like the way she handles those big brass ones.

Yeah, she kind of grabbed my eye also. Did she did have to look so serious, though? I mean, I’m sure she’s concentrating on the music, but lighten up a little, eh? Maybe all that cymbal crashing was giving her a headache. LOL Another one that I focused on was the cellist (?) with the long brown hair.

It’s fun to watch the members of the orchestra getting into the music during their pauses – especially the two girls that kept bobbing back and forth. It reminds me of similar shots seen, albeit to a lesser extent, during the Page/Plant No Quarter video.

Peace,

Phil

You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. Treating women musicians like sex objects.

I thought both percussionists were hot.

I'm ashamed of myself too. :D

Whatever on Earth do you mean? When I posed the question "who's your favourite girl in the orchestra? Come on, don't be shy;" I was simply asking everyone's opinion on their technical abilities as professional musicians. I believe this was inferred by the phrase "you know you noticed a `cutie' in there." A "cutie" is technical slang within conducting circles for a masterful female timpanist; complimented in particular for their efficiency and accuracy in performance and judged accordingly by the way they grip their "mallets"- elongated sticks of wood with white fuzzy balls at the end used extensively for banging.

Furthermore, it is known that most men and women judge the criteria for `cutie' status differently; hence the question "YesFems, you can fess up... I won't judge ya; right guys?" At absolutely no point did I make any blatant, low-brow inference to sexual appearace; as this would constitute a violation of Forum Rules and could be construed by some as `sexist.'

Thank you for the opportunity to clarify :D

Kev, I'm suprised that no fanatical feminists have moaned about this thread. I'm not going to bring myself down to the level of everyone else here...

OK, I'm down to your level...the cymbal girl.

Well there,

I think those ladies turned things around a bit, and asked themselves if Chris is wearing a G string under his spandex....

Kev

Yes, the cymbal girl.... and to you, JJGeers; welcome to yesfans! But most unwelcome is the image of Chris in a G-String! It IS Amsterdam, I guess... so anything goes, right?

Hey, did anyone else notice the aforementioned cutie smirking at Alan during his drum solo while shaking some balls in her hands?

Balls? Well, here in Holland, because of their shape, we call them 'eggs'!

But I must admit, that cymbal girl is my fave too. She really looks like an angel.

BTW, some people think that those girls are all Dutch because the concert was filmed in Amsterdam. But the orchestra comes originally from Minsk. (see www.festivalorchestra.info)

Heh Heh I'm an Aussie so i'm allowed to be sexist lol .. :)

I like the one that Chris Squire obviously liked during the Roundabout Dance. She was just behind him. She was the brunette with quite long hair. Chris looked like he was giving her the "Wanna meet me at the bar after the show eyes", I thought lol.

Ohhh I think she played the cello rather well too .. :)

I like the girl that mimics Chris during Roundabout simply because of her obvious enthusiasm.
I of course love the percussionists, but that's because I'm a drummer. Or is it?

all i know is its a good thing Igor was not with the band at this point or there may have been an orgy on the stage during gates of delirium.

<ahem> cymbal-sweetie, cello-woman and clarinet/singalong/ragey-chick were notable highlights in my DVD watching experience. When I'm not watching Steve, Chris, Jon, Alan or Tom that is.

Not bad at all. Anticipation is building rapidly for the Oz shows next year. If an organized festival does happen for the Sydney show it'll be great to meet and greet all those internationals who will be flying in. Imagine that, Yes on the Rocks!
I might have to start drinking Aussie beer again.

If anyone out there can tell me how to put an Avatar up of the cymbal girl shaking the green `eggs' while smirking at Alan during his drum solo... I'll be your best friend! :D

Well you know Mike, given Chris' past taste in women (his ex wife Nikki being a long haired brunette and his current wife being one as well), it would not surprise me a bit for him to take notice of such a woman in the orchestra! :D

Besides, being a long haired brunette myself, it is nice to see a fellow taking notice of such a lady! Chris can buy me a drink anytime. hahahaha

I'm going to judge this by " Who really was enjoying working in this production" and the honers go to the { brunett with the short hair playing I beleive to be a claronet. } She couldn't sit still through the whole concert. Totaly taken up by the music. And Yes guys She's cute and obviosly a big Yes fan

OK, maybe that's too dangerous a question to ask.

I'd vote for Jennifer Jason Leigh, but even though someone mentioned that she's in the video, I have not spotted her. I'll have to go back and watch it again.
