Tormato just narrowly escapes my top 10. The Rhino remaster was big help, the bonus tracks make up a great deal for the weaker material on the original album.

In the question for top ten albums i meant more their "albums" I know like YesSongs and YesShows are their albums but i mean albums like ones with different songs on them . (no best of or live)
don't get me wrong though. YesSongs is an amazing live performance i just meant more albums released with origanal stuff.

I suppose I could be accused of still living in the '70s - but I do like most of the albums that came after 1980 - just obviously not as much as these ones.

I actually would put 3 of the 4 Topgraphic songs in my All Time Favourite Song list....

But, to me, there is something funny about the way the album was recorded. Dark, muddy and the drums sound strange..It sounds older than the previous 3 studio albums to me.

Love the songs though!

I prefer the Live versions on Yesshows and Keys much better..:headset:

My top choice (TYA) I've been listening to lately and just a few comments:

~ Simply amazing production for the time by Eddie Offord. Everything comes across clear as a bell, and nothing overdone. One of the main reasons this is my top choice. The man was really in the pocket at this time.

~ I love listening to the synthesizer flourishes. Rick is definitely the man when it comes to the synths, but here they were used to accent the music rather than integrate into it. Cool!

~ A new guitarist in Steve Howe and the band was firing on all eight cylinders - still young and cocky but experienced enough to put together a cohesive album that more or less cements their music style for the next 10 years. This was the album that propelled them forward to the next higher level!
