Hello
That that it seems Yes wil reconviene in 2008 and there is a more than good possibility that it will probably be their last album the question begs:
Who would like like involved ie what line up ?
Note additional personsal need not be permanent full time members or indeed musicans ie they could be writers/engineers/producers
1. Current Lineup only ie Anderson, Squire, Howe, White & Wakeman
2. Current Lineup but with invitations to whoever has been in Yes for three or more studio albums ie Bruford, Kaye and Rabin
3. Current Lineup plus invite to anyone who has been musically involved ie the above plus Banks, Sherwood, Moraz, Downs, Horn and Khoroshev
4. What ever lineup can be assemblied even if it means no Anderson OR Squire

Huge fan of the so called Classic Lineup though I may be, whoever comes out to play would result in happiness from here...
And the possibility of the Classic 5 plus would be wonderful.

So it's set then? The title of the next album will be "Last Hurrah"?

I don't care as long as Anderson, Howe & Squire are on it!!
I'd also like more than one final album
but I'm a dreamer

This will never happen in a million years, but I'd like the core to be Anderson/Squire/Howe, White doing most of the drumming but a guest by Bruford, keys equally shared by Wakeman, Moraz and Brislin, and Rabin in heavy rotation as a guest guitarist.

I dunno if I would say that ! many said the same about Yes without Anderson ie Drama, Yes being commercial ie Yeswest, Union etc few would have predicted those
I think you may well be surprised what turns out in the next 2 years, it wouldn't be Yes unless it wasn't constantly changing !

I believe that if Yes is to regroup.. It will be the current 5.... That is if Jon decides to come back... The only change that's possible is if Rick decides that he's done and doesn't want to tour. But I think he'll do it....

Anderson, Squire, Howe, Moraz, Bruford.
If nothing else but for a change of pace. Wakeman is great and always welcome. Moraz would be great, but would probably only happen if Wakemans unavailable. Bruford would have to really be in the mood and interested in the music. No Union 2 please, unless the music is 'Tales' or '90125' quality. Ed

"4. What ever lineup can be assemblied even if it means no Anderson or Squire"
Nope. I believe there can be a Yes without Jon, at least for a little while, but I don't believe there can be a Yes without Chris. They had one once, it was called ABWH and you put on the CD and go, "hey this is great, but WHERE'S CHRIS?" and not just the bass, but those VOCALS.
And if things won't even get ironed out so that the classic-line up will fall back together easily enough, it might even be worse trying to work in other ex-Yes members.
Heck, it even depends on what I think we can expect from any of the other ex-Yes members. I like to hoot and holler and clap everytime someone says Moraz, but that's provided he'll play more like he did on Relayer. If not, I'm using one or two too many hands to clap for him with.

I want to see Rabin back, in whatever way.
Union 2 for me
Oh and this time it is actually Yes playing on the CD!!!!!!!!
A tour in the round would be wonderful.
If they do record and tour in 2008 then the new waterfront stadium in Liverpool will be complete by then. What a way to open it up!!!!

Awesome!
I'd pay to see that.
They should go on tour and travel to different cities and have guest appearances by former members. It would be great to see everyone who's ever been in Yes on stage at some point during the tour.

OK, I'm calling you crazy. I see major personality conflicts there. Jon would have 3 very strong wills to focus in Squire, Rabin, and Moraz. I am not talking temperments, necessarily; but rather musical style tendencies.
I would love to see this, though.

I'd like to see all 14 primary musicians work together for over a year on recording a farewell album. A triple CD. Not everybody plays on every song, but there would also not be a "core" band. Whatever felt right to the primary composers of each piece on the album would unfold in a natural way. A work of love for the fans. It would have everything from 4 minute pop/rock, to a sweeping epic or two and all that Yes has been in-between.

Lineup: Anderson, Banks, Bruford, Kaye, Squire
As much as I like Rabin and YES West, I get more satisfaction with Rabin composing for and using a full orchestra. YES just can't compare to that.
And if YES must wrap it up I would like to see them finish where they started. I was too young to see that. And perform jazz-oriented pieces. Maybe even skip any big hit they've ever had.
Another possibility - I would like to see them do what THEY want, not second guess the fans giving us what they think we want. Reinvent themselves and suprise us all! Wasn't that a bit of what made PROG what it was?

Great idea. It'll never happen, but it's a great idea.

Well, Trevor and Jon have supposedly written some songs together. I think the current lineup + Trevor would work just fine. I like Cinders suggestion about a rotating guest list that would include different former members of the band.

My dream line-up:
A good producer is a must: trevor horn, for example.
Alan White on drums and Chris on bass and vocals
Igor Koroshjev on Keys (maybe guest apperances by Wakeman ONLY ON PIANO and Kaye on Hammond)
Howe and Rabin sharing guitars (if the producer's got a gun)
Jon singing.

Honestly we have never had the dream lineup of
Jon - vocals
Bill Bruford -Drums
Patrick Moraz - Keys
Trevor Rabin - Guitar
Tony Levin -Bass
that may be a nightmare for some but wow imagine the solos
Travor Rabin on Soundchaser! mmm
