Just go into the "pole forum" and start a thread. You can't start a pole outside of the "pole forum". It's pretty self expanitory from there.

In the boxes below the "Submit New Thread" and "Preview Post" buttons, there's a list of "Additional Options." Click on "Post a Poll," and then select the "Number of Options" you'll need (ie,. True/False and Yes/No would be two, "Best song on Close to the Edge" would be three, etc. (unless you were including bonus material, of course). Then click on "Select New Thread."

You will be taken to a separate screen called "Post a Poll." There, you ask your poll question and then fill in the replies. If you've miscalculated and have not enough or too many options, there's a "Number of Poll Options" and an "Update Options button next to it. Other options below this area are that can have your poll close at a certain date (leaving it blank means it won't close), allowing multiple choices (eg "Which of the following Yes albums do you own?"), and making the poll results public, where people can see who voted for what (particularly useful when doing things like planning gathering places and times).

You can post a poll anywhere, not in any single section.

Hope that helps.

PS: One of my pet peeves is that, as you correctly posted, are asking about "polls." "Poles" are long cylindrical objects or people from Poland.

OK, just because I'm a grammar queen:

cite - to name a source
sight - the act of seeing
site - a place (web site)

There WILL be a quiz....
