I am a new arrival on the scene here - just happened in a couple of days ago as I was searching for some Yes info.

It so happens I am an old aquaintence of The Yesbabe - we go back to the mid/late 1980s from our days at UMass...she's now on the left coast and I am still here on the right (south of Boston). She's good people, that Tasia!!

I started listening to Yes when I was in high school - long about 1984. I purchased 'The Yes Album' actually by mistake - I thought it had "Roundabout" on it. I heard the first couple of chords of "Yours is No Disgrace" and have been hooked ever since!

For the record, my favorite Yes-man is Alan :drummer: . His opening on "Sound Chaser" puts Bonzo to shame. I also thought he was pretty charismatic on Yessongs... My fav album is "Relayer".

Glad to be a part of this discussion I look forward to chatting with y'all!

Eric, didn't you go to the Big Generator shows? I can't remember, but I do remember that you and Damon and Michelle were horrified that I was boycotting them, LOL! Stupid me.

Actually, I already have found Damon...

And The Big Gener-Rabin show was my first Yes concert (12/11/87...remember it well). However, I quickly became disenchanted with T. Rabid after he injected his own 'eddie van halen' into Yours is No Disgrace. Pitiful.

Oh dear...I wouldn't say Alan "puts Bonzo to shame," but I really love the guy too. In fact White and Bonham ARE my two favorite drummers--no one else is quite like them. I do agree, though, that "Sound Chaser" is awesome, and Relayer is one of my favorite albums. Any album where Whitefish rules is okay by me! Look forward to many rhythm section discussions with you... ;)
