Hi, I'm Andy, I'm 19 years old and i live in cornwall UK.
Been into yes for a couple years now I think. I know that aint as much as some of you hardcore fans from forgotten yesterdays but YES is basically all i listen to (quite sad I know). I bought an MP3 player recently, and at the moment there is not ONE un-yes-related song on it.
Luckily i managed to see Steve Howe with the Yes tribute band Fragile back in the summer. Was the perfect venue. Carnglaze Caverns - Cornwall. basically a HUGE cave! I remember Steve said something about Yes being the dinosaurs of prog rock when he was onstage, and the reply came from a man a few rows behind me just loud enough for everone to hear "Yeah and now your in a cave!"
Was hilarious.
Got tickets to see Jon and Rick in Bristol on October 28th too. Going to be great.
Anyway, Just wanted to let you all know I have arrived and am here to stay :D
Andy
P.S Just one more thing for anyone who has been wondering about this.
I actually managed to meet Steve after the gig and he signed some stuff. Just before I went I asked him if he would be touring with Yes next year (2007) and he said YES! I don't know if he was just saying it to get me away from him as he was pretty tired and wanted to go i think. But anyway, it may be true!

Omygawd -- that's amazing news! I hope it is true, I've never seen Yes play live.
A very warm welcome to you, Andy. Cornwall is a very beautiful place (judging by the pics I've seen, and Daphne du Maurier books read). Doesn't Justin Heyward of the Moody Blues have a farm there as well?

Hello! I'm not sure about Justin Hayward living here. I've got tickets to the moody blues in plymouth at the end of this month, maybe i will get the chance to ask him for you! Steve Howe lives in Devon though doesnt he? Which is the county right next to this one, not too far from me. Not that I would go round there and annoy him haha.
Thank you all for your welcomes! I hope this is one of those forums where everyone knows who everyone else is and its like a kinda community :)
Speak to you all soon!

Welcome Andy.
There is nothing wrong with having a MP3 player with only Yes-related songs on it. If there is, we have the same problem!
Enjoy the site.
Welcome Home Andy
We've been waiting for you!:yesbird:

LOL that would be nice. Goshen is in northern Indiana, part of the Midwest and pretty close to Chicago--my favorite big city. :D

OMG I love Star Wars...all 6 films! Independence Day and Armageddon are two of my other favorites.
I have to admit to being something of an Anglophile... As you see, my favorite author is Charles Dickens, and most of my favorite bands are British too. When the movie Titanic came out, I read several books about the great ship and the people involved. I've always wanted to visit London--maybe if I ever come that way, you can show me around there, as well as Devon, Cornwall, and the Salisbury Plain. :beerchugr:
Funny that you looked at my profile just now--I was looking at yours too! :yikes: I also posted in your drumming thread BTW...
