Go to www.alanwhite.net, and click on "Gallery". All the images there are avatar-sized. That's where I got my current Alan + Chris avatar from.
Just thought I'd mention it. Alan has been in Yes for 30 years, longer than anyone but Chris. Yet he is regarded as the new guy. A shame.
Lets hear it for Alan!

He's not the new guy to me! Alan was in Yes when I was first "turned on" to them. And he's the only drummer I've seen with Yes.
I know what you mean. The one thing that irks me most about many yes fans is that they're still hung up on Bill. Granted, his work with the band was fantastic; but Alan's the perfect drummer for Yes- which places him up there with perhaps the perfect drummer, period. What's even better; he's really into it! Hell, watch him on stage and notice his passion and enthusiasm for the music he's playing; then tell me who belongs on the throne. You all know what expression I'm talking about; where he tightens his facial muscles and and grooves his neck back and forth like an expectant racehorse. (sorry for the analogy; went to the track today)
Honestly speaking, even though I'm no drummer, he gets my vote for member of the band because he's never sounded "off" in his playing on record, he contributes extensively to the writing process, next to Chris- I think he's the best stage performer in the band, and in a band as difficult as Yes can be; he really seems to have a level head and a humble personality.
Alan White, you f***ing rock!!!
The world needs more rock stars like you.

Alan has also never said anything bad about any other Yes members, from what I know. He's very modest. Great guy. He's also been married for 20 years - unlike most rock stars.
Alan is just a normal guy who happens to drum in a rock band.
Turn Of The Century - best track by Yes IMO. Who co-wrote the song? Alan.
Alan is also the only member accepting questions on his website. I'd love to ask him a few things and thank him for being a great drummer, but I don't like revealing my email address on websites.
He does look really into the music. He's probably the biggest Yesfan ever.
