View Full Version : Site Tips: Seeing image attachments the easy way

For the longest time I didn't know about this, so I thought I'd share it.

If you're sick of clicking hyperlinks to view image attachments on everyone's posts, all you gotta do is:

go to My Yesfans, go to Edit Options.

Scroll down until you see:

Show image attachments and [img] code in Posts?

Select YES for this option, then click on Submit Modifications

After this you will be able to see most image attachments without using a hyperlink. The only exception will be bitmap images (.bmp). For some reason they always have a hyperlink. For this reason, it's best to avoid attaching bmp's.

Hope this was helpful to someone.

I was playing around at work with Paint Shop Pro and found this cool tool called 'enamel'. You can change all kinds of parameters. It gives a Peter Max kind of effect. Here is Monday night's sunset....

I have Paint Shop Pro 7 - I really need to explore it more than I have. I must admit - Jasc really makes it look daunting and complicated. I'm waiting for a PSP book in the mail.

It is great and I still haven't found everything. PSP 6 didn't have the enamel option under Image>Effects. Only PSP7.

somthing that works better now is that the images are thumbnailed. Taking less bw and you get a mini preview of the pictures uploaded in the thread. Clicking on them will open a new window and will allow you to surf while the image downloads to your computer.

Tim, I am not seeing thumbnails. I checked out my User CP, but havn't found any options that reference thumbnails. Can you please let me know how to view these thumbnails?

Sheila in your user cp click on options
then look for an area called
Post elements

there is a box to check off that says something about images
