I really hope it isn't that far from...
approximately 5.98789" off the ground in Ferndale, Washington, Pacific Northwest, USA, Central Cascadia Subduction Zone, Close To The Edge of North America, Western Hemisphere, Earth, SOL 3, Alpha Quadrant, Milky Way.
How's the head gasket thing workin' out?

about an hour's drive or so... nothing extraneous!
Thank the good Lord it was not the head gasket... one plug was fried!
tell ya what tho... losing one plug on a 4 banger sure feels and sounds like a blown head gasket. Even my mech thought so
160psi compression on each cylinder. Specs say 155 - 175psi compression
So I am good to go!

If only...
Not that I required first hand disappoint, I always knew how you felt over these passed few months being ignored by Howe & Wakey. Pretty ironic that now you get White with no one to share it with.
*Sigh* right back at ya

Mr. Zulu, wish I could go, but I can't. I have not seen a concert in years.
My sights are on the next tour, I believe they will...

the only people that showed up for the pre party was my good friend Mikey and myself. Gigi White and a couple of her friends showed up... she was really excited and pumped up for the show... she hugged my neck which is always nice. Parked next to Doug Clemmons, White's photo guy...
We kept running into each other, great guy...
I didn't have my camera so no pics. I'll talk Doug! I am sure he will have some...
Ran into Genele Boyce in the beer bar, wooohoooo!

Thanks Michael!!
Sorry that the show was such a disappointment to you, well written review though…
I’ve had difficulty in the past with Alan’s site. Must have been my old connection…
A priceless pic ~ Alan’s expression looking at the Imagine album cover :D
These slide shows are cool but I don’t know how to save them to my puter. Is that done purposefully?

yeah... it's called copyright.
seeing White wasn't a disappointment.... just missing a few notes
the played great for the most part
Frampton was the real disappointment for me... I don't like Come's Alive and aside from his opening with a cover tune the next two were from come's alive... my opinion. I am sure there are people around here that really love pete... I am not one... sorry.

Frankly, I was caught up in the radio overload of Alive in ‘76 like millions were at that time. I have the album and never replaced it. So obviously I would have gone for White and for White only in any case.
The disappointment I got from your review was more directed at I guess your initial concern about the why and how regarding the sound. And the fact that you were there and got up and left before it was all over. That was a bit concerning… But I think I understand why.

Give me a break I was there too and Mr. Zulu certainly didn't leave early. The show was fantastic - White played their buts off. Sound issues were so minor that the untrained ear could not hear them - except for Karl's amp mishap. The audience responded great to the band, even cracked up at Currie's jokes! And, they sold several CDs - it was a great night for White and an indication that they will do fantastic when they begin their own tour. Zulu chill.

I would have given anything to be at this show!....or any show of White's!!!
A booked holiday prevented me from doing so. I really NEED to see Alan fronting his own band...big time!!
Despite the concerns over sound issues (Steve Boyce clarifies them on his blog) I am sure they accounted for themselves very well. Hell's fire, when you have the powerhouse that is Sir Alan on tubs then it will bloody well rock!
He is the absolute governer!!
