Speaking of Denver, "Rocky Mountain High" is by John Denver :-)
"Rocky Mountain Way" would be a great opener or encore! This show is a must see for me!

:heydude: Well dig up JD and put him out there as an "opener"...lol
I'd pay to see that!
Guess I WAS "high" when I posted.....I even looked up the JW lyrics of RMW and STILL posted the HIGH instead of WAY, maybe it's a "contact" HIGH from this being a "Symbol-based" Thread......lol:rcking:

First off... we had excellent seats. A friend of Larry's named Tyson got us comp tickets from a local radio personality. Thanks Tyson!
The James Gang was great! They had a blues duo that played as an opener. (guitar and harmonica) Larry knew both of those guys.
The show opened with Walk Away and never slowed down after that. I don't know the names of the songs but was surprised by how many I recognized. I know that they played Midnight Man, Stop, Ashes The Rain and I, and Funk 49 (last song before the encore). I think they did Asshton Park and The Bomber too... Larry... do you know?
They did two encores. The first one they brought out one of the female back-up singers and featured her on guitar and the second one.... Why... Rocky Mountain Way of course.
The show was a short one at an hour and 15-20 minutes. Joe was humorous and played like only Joe Walsh does. Jim Fox can play the drums!
Larry, it was great to see you again. I look forward to our next concert! Adrian Belew is Wednesday November 1st.

I saw a similar show in Atlantic City on 8/19/06 at the Borgata (comp'd tickets). I gotta say that Joe Walsh is one of the great ones.

I sure wish I could have seen this show - from the reviews I've read it's like the band never broke up. So glad to hear you had a great time, Pete!

Yeah Pete, another killer show, eh? I am standing beside myself! And you got all the songs right, along with Tend My Garden and Woman. And this wasn't your typical "reunion" show (Oh look at the old guys, they are so charming, see them breathe). Man, these guys smoked, in a severe way.
These are the remaining shows:
Sep-06 Los Angeles Gibson Ampitheatre
Sep-08 Saratoga Mountain Winery
Sep-09 San Diego Concerts in the Park @ Viejas Casino

"Woman" was a first for this tour. Previously, they played "Goin' Down" instead. I hope a recording surfaces.
