What a revelation the self-titled ABWH album was when it came out. It heralded a return to the classic Yes sound of yesteryear. I read in an interview with Jon around the time of the inception of ABWH as a band that he had become dismayed by Yes's need to fill albums with 'pop songs' as he dismissively termed the music Yes were churning out at this stage of their development. I must confess that while I loved a lot of the work Yes did with Trev in the band, I did miss the epic tracks the band were always masters at producing. With the release of ABWH the album, Yes returned to their roots and they have truly never looked back since!
