I wish I had money to burn to spend on artwork! There is already a thread on this too, I think, but with only a link, that I didn't actually view.
I think that they should repackage ALL the albums in a box or NONE. All or nothing. Halfway houses (or Halfway Harry as my sister once said) are useless.

19 of these are already on YESYEARS. I didn't count AMERICA because it's a single edit on YESYEARS. My opinion? I would have not repeated any YESYEARS tracks on this - that way the two sets could compliment each other.
I think YES should do us all a big favor and put out an all inclusive set that has ALL the otherwise unreleased YESYEARS and IN A WORD tracks together, and then some. Here's what should be on such a release:
01 Something's Coming
02 I'm Down
03 Amazing Grace
04 Vevey (Pt 1)
05 Montreux's Theme
06 Vevey (Pt.2) (or the entire recording instead of the 2 edits)
07 Money
08 Abeline
09 Run With The Fox (Squire/White)
10 Return Of The Fox (Squire/White)
11 Make It Easy (Cinema)
12 It Can Happen (Cinema)
13 City Of Love (live single B side)
14 Leave It (accapella mix)
15 It Can Happen (live single B side)
16 Changes (88 live)
17 And You And I (88 live)
18 Heart Of The Sunrise (88 live)
19 Vultures In The City (ABWH)
20 Love Conquers All
21 Give And Take
22 Richard
23 Tango
24 Never Done Before
25 Backing Track 2
26 Fist Of Fire (alternate take ABWH)
27 The Calling (extended version)
28 The Gates Of Delirium (MAG. bonus disc)
29 Close To The Edge (MAG. bonus disc)
30 Ritual (MAG. bonus disc)
31 Hearts (from the House Of Yes DVD)
32 The Revealing Science Of God (with extended intro)
33 Awaken (Union Tour Live DVD)
34 Last Train (MAGNIFICATION outtake)
While I may be missing a few, I think this pretty much would put all the Yes oddities in one place. I've tried to include everything they put on vinyl, tape or CD, and I've purposely ignored the 'dance mixes' of the 90125 & BIG GENERATOR era. As a bonus, I've included two DVD tracks - HEARTS from the House Of Yes and AWAKEN from the Union Tour Live DVD. Something very special about AWAKEN with Jon, Chris, Steve, Trevor, Tony, Bill and Alan together.
Am I right? Would this be a great collection? As for IN A WORD, I'm sure I'll get it anyway - only because I've got a bit of money coming to me soon. I'll definitely order it through Rhino for the 20% off discount.

CD Universe is selling the set for $48.00 . What a deal. That will still be less than the 20% Rhino is offering.

I'd be quicker to buy THAT one!
I want the new Dean art though too... and I don't have money to throw around, but still... Is there a picture of the new stuff by Dean on-line yet? I should just go to his website...

I am one of those die-hard, bad-decision-blind fools who will buy every legitimate Yes releases just to support the band (and trade live shows on Yesswap per the ethical guidelines). You see, I have this problem: I actually believe that these guys are the end all and be all of modern music and am permanently infected with their glorious virus.
But I cannot for the life of me figure out just how in the hell they make some of the decisions they do. And they make some amazingly poor, off the charts
bizarre choices in making and releasing albums. Why they ever split up Keys 1 & 2 like they did chief among them.
But when "Awaken," a song Jon Anderson has made perfectly clear is the best Yes song he's ever done, is off the list and stuff like "Arriving UFO" is on, I don't have enough energy to perpetually scratch my head.
I dunno. I just dunno.
*sigh*

I'll be running to the local 'recordslut' the day it comes out.
We need YES Anonymous. Except that there's that 13th step: buy the new album. You KNOW you want it!

I've slagged this box off on the previous thread about it. I'm still incensed. Looking at Rob's post he should have been given the job, and I'd be up at the crack of dawn on release day to get that one.
It'll probably be about £60 in the UK as well - what's that?, about $85-$90, with no discounts and I can't afford to ship it from the US because what you save on the discount you lose on the shipping costs( and, Earl that doesn't even include the h*r**n)So all in all I'm not very happy with this.

It's an addiction.
But just think: The Paris sessions mixed and mastered properly (Better be!).
A longer version of The Revealing Science Of God.
And Brother Of Mine: different version? I think I heard that.
We'll drop the dime and have a time.
I'll buy it. But there should've been more outakes, damnit!

once again they've done a bad job putting the box set together
my god how many versions of And You and I can we have
I'm just using that one for an example...
what YES should have done was make them compliment as someone else mentioned and that's just for starters...
all of the tracks from the Paris sessions should be on there
as well as the tracks from the ABWH second sessions
and the drum duet between bruford and alan white from the 91 tour.
then leave it acapella version - although i finally found this after looking for 7 years - so i'm sure some other out there seek it as well...
live tracks should be from topographic oceans, relayer and tormato - and these should be period recordings or how bout
all of topographic live...
we know how bad the original mix of yesshows was...
of course once again we're foiled...
and of course we'll shell out and buy it because we're yes heads!

Amen to the live stuff. Oh, well, back to my corner where I sit and wait like the puppy I am for Yes to give their siren call of "here, boy. New release. Come and get it."

Well I don't think any of us should buy it. Missed opportunity.
Why haven't they done a Genesis-style archive boxed sex - three discs of live material and a load of unreleased stuff. Now I'd buy that. They have the material - Yesyears + In A Word:Yes, add America and Dear Father and you have an archive.
