Alan White:Keeper Of The Flame

...when and if there is ever to be a Yes again...
...we can be certain that Alan will be there, as he always has for nearly 35 years now...
...we can count upon him to play every song with every molecule in his body committed to it with all his considerable might...
...we will know that he will accord every note of every tune all the touch, feel, strength and power it not only deserves but rightfully should have...

Upon his broad shoulders he has carried Yes through times both thick and thin. For this I would like to send my deepest heartfelt thanks, for I suspect that it is possible that without this man, there just might not still be a Yes.

Thank you so much, Alan White!

Alan,

I've been a fan since my older brother brought home Live Peace in late 1969 (we were both Beatlemaniacs....he turned me on to all that stuff). I remember we were like... "Who is that drummer!!!"....then of course all the solo Beatle songs and albums and Alan White was, as far as we were concerned, the best drummer in the world.

Then, in 1975, I heard Yessongs and was hooked. Yes has been my band ever since. Now when I saw the cover and it said "Drums - Alan White", I freaked!! I KNEW that drummer sounded familiar!! I told my brother (he is definitely NOT a Yes fan) and he's followed the band to some extent because you are the drummer.

I got to meet you very briefly in Cleveland a few months back, and for that I'm grateful. (I also talked to you on Rockline in 1994, before the Talk tour). I just want to say thank you for all your contributions, for your dedication, for your great work and caring for the band and the fans. Hope to see the band out again next year!

Alan,
Great Talking to you last night.

don't worry

It was a one off with a hostile situation and a forgiving audience...

It can only get better

Love
Michael

Alan you give me inspiration even though I'm not a drummer (well, not that experienced anyway) but have loved every bit of what you have contributed to Yes and your own projects. Most Excellent Dude!
