Hey, I'd have to say that Relayer's my favorite Yes album, and probably the most perfect. I still consider it to be the third disc of Tales, though. :aus:

What an interesting thought (esp since I was just musing about the same thing!)
Is Relayer just sides 5/6 of TFTO?
In some ways I can see the reasoning, but I'd have to say, No. I always felt the Relayer sessions were a combination of 'let's move onward' and 'how far can we push the sylistic envelope?' Just my opinion, of couse. For me, Relayer was a liberation experience: It touched on Funk, Middle Eastern, Cinematic and Far Eastern music themes that Master Wakeman was simply not interested in at that point. Given the documented displeasure that Rick felt during Tales (and his subsequent departure), I feel Relayer stands alone .:beerchugr:
