Well... I am yet another "noob".

to start out, im 19 years old and only in the past month have i gotten into Yes. So far have 3 albums(just got the third tonight). Them being... 90215, Close to the Edge and Relayer. Listening to the new one, Relayer, while i type this out. I use to go to a Pink Floyd forum at http://www.pinkfloydonline.com/ , but sadly i can't seem to get on it anymore. I was lurker there... only posting every so often if i felt the need to, or was just bored, heh.

I guess the reason why i like Yes is because i'm a huge Pink Floyd fan. Who, like yes, has long, ever developing songs with grand themes and epic productions. I own about 10-11 albums by them. I also love The Beatles. I guess you could say that The Beatles have more of my "favourite songs"... but Pink Floyd is the band i respect the most.

Well so far if i had to name 2 favourite songs from the 2 albums ive gotten into more.. this new one, give me some time..... would be It Can Happen and Close to the Edge.

wow, that was a jumbled mess of ideas.. well hopefully this forum will help me enjoy Yes even more!

Nice to meet ya!

Hi Halfsteel, it's always nice to meet another Beatles, Yes and Pink Floyd fan: although this particular one is closer to 50 than 20. You're just starting out on an amazing journey with Yes, but if you want to chat about any of these bands, either start a thread, or feel free to get in touch: with regards to Pink Floyd, I was lucky enough to have been at the first full performance of Dark Side Of The Moon, back in January 1972. Have you tried www.neptunepinkfloyd.co.uk by the way? It’s a very good resource, with an excellent forum.

Hey mate. I'm a similar age, 20.

Got into Yes when I was 15. Great band. It's good that you like both 90125 and CTTE, they couldn't be more different!
