I'd like to notify you that there's a new Japanese Yes reissue series due next month. It includes also a digitally remastered edition of Big Generator - whose domestic release, as you know, sounds really awful.

The first BG remaster came out a few years ago, it's now out of print and very expensive. So this a perfect chance for us all to grab the remastered album as its price is very nice - barely $20.
I recommend all Yesfans buying it - before it gets expensive again (as these Japanese editions are usually limited). I've already pre-ordered it...

You can pre-order it from these stores at the moment:

Cheers...

Check the Amazon site.....
To be released December 31st. 2025!
Well, I can probably wait that long, but I wouldn't bet on it. Unless I can pay COD.
My original still sounds ok. So without any additional material, can someone say if it has been worth the purchase?

I'm interested in a remastered version too but the thing must be available first. Neil do you have an update?

I ordered the album from CD universe but got it refunded a few weeks ago. Moreover, I contacted CDjapan and they replied that the album won't be released as planned.

Geez, seems we're still not gonna get a decent BG release anytime soon...

That's a shame. One album that needs to be heard the way it actually sounds is Big Generator. And have the stereo mixed the right way around!Ah well, I have a good Vinyl version of it, I know how good that album sounds.

When Rhino did all their Atlantic Yes reissues, why wasn't Big G among them? I don't think my CD copy sounds that bad! I would've loved to hear some of the extra tracks on that one, especially since Rhino did such a superb job with the Tormato and 90125 reissues.

Being a newer Yesfan I am lucky--I got all the reissued + extra tracks versions. hehehe

Big Generator needs a little more 'crash, bang, wallop'. Compare BG and Talk and you'll know what I mean...

I guess you're right, though I always thought the drums on "Rhythm of Love" were exceptional. However I have declared Talk as one of the greatest drum albums ever--Alan is the best.

Anyone compared the vinyl and casstte versions of BG with any of the CDs? Which commonly-available one(s) are better?
I even have the sheet music and that is the most fun but it is simplistic and wrong in places.......

To get a CD of Moraz i CD I had to get someone in a store in Nanaimo to eBay it in Japan years ago, OY. Is it the massive prog audiences that still spend money in Japan, or a big industry that supplies the world or what that keeps this stuff over there??
