I would say that i have the opposite. My work keeps me away from home a lot during the week, and while i have a company laptop i only access Yesfans on my home computer - hence there are long spells when i do not check out the Yesfans site.

Yes, it has affected my job ! Every morning I spend 1 hour viewing new posts and replying. During the day I make some quick appearances to check fans activities.
Actually, I'm looking for a new job (to get out the routine I'm in now) and I know I won't be able to surf as much anymore. So my strategy is to take advantage of the present situation : to surf as much as I can now. As soon as I get my new job, I'll buy a computer, will browse Yesfans from home and be serious again at work.
I don't think it has affected the quality of my work, though, just the quantity... And it has revived my daily practice of English, which is a very good point in terms of carreer.

I sit at my computer at work for 8+ hours a day. I manage about 15 people. I have time to check in during the day. Can never spend much time, but I can catch the highlights.

my job has effected my Yesfans. I got busted at work getting onto the site. Miserable sods. Got my wrist slapped and denied access for a while. Got my email account back but no more internet access.

YESFANS claims no responsibility for any loss of work, lack of job performance, or anything of the like! View at your own risk! Ha ha ha ha ha!

Wish I had problems like you others. At least your employers let you surf the net. My employer is so paranoid that I have to get permission from out IT department to visit any website. Once they give the OK, I can always access it, but it's a real pain. And, for some reason, I can't figure out why, my employer believes that YesFans is not an important work-related site.

This is getting good! I just know there must be some good stories about how this forum keeps us here like moths to a flame.

I was almost late twice. I got to work within seconds of punching in late.

Tim, I like your disclaimer!

When the internet access is out of order for a few hours at work (fortunately, it scarcely happens), I feel bad just at the idea of missing Yesfans.

Date: Mid May
Situation: I have exams until 12th June
Solution: Do not go out at all, stay in and revise
Problem with solution: Get distracted by the Internet. Yesfans was one of the sites that I got distracted on.
Final result: Exams did not go too well.

That's why I've been posting more than I normally do recently.

None of the choices seemed to fit me, Rob, could you add a "Yesfans has affected my examination results" or something?

I have to confess that I am a bit paranoid thinking that one of these days my boss is going to come in with a log of all the time spent at this site.
