Interesting. I've seen this park many times from the main street but I've never walked in to it. Maybe I should just stand out on East Ojai Ave and listen to it without paying twenty bucks.

I suppose anybody looking to buy drug paraphernalia and sex toys with their cds might might find themselves in Salzer's (http://www.salzers.com/) anyway.

Tony's BACK!!!

I wonder how Tony decided to join forces with the Neil Deal? It's an unexpected context in which to see/hear him. Also, with Dave Gilmour working with David Crosby and Graham Nash, I wonder if we'll ever get to see an all-star lineup of Gilmour, Crosby, Nash, Young, Kaye and the Neil Deal.

I sent Jon Anderson an e-mail on myspace about Tony's appearance with the Neil Deal. I don't know how well those guys get along these days, and possibly Jon will want the night off after his show in L.A. the night before, but I'm hoping that miracles will continue and Jon will show up, jump on stage with Tony and the band, and do a Yes number or two.

Anyway, this is great! I was just regretting a few days ago that the only times I got to see/hear Tony Kaye live was on the "Union" and "Talk" tours, when he was overshadowed by Wakeman ("Union" tour) and underutilized (both tours).

I bought my ticket to the Ojai festival before Tony's participation was announced, so it's a fantastic bonus! I'm going to be at Jon's Santa Barbara show two nights earlier, so I'm thankful for the Yes-related one-two punch.

Tony Kaye with the Neil Deal was great! The Floyd, Doors and Zeppelin tribute bands were also awesome! To be honest, I was less blown away by Vince Welnick with Cubenesis. Got off to an excellent start with "St. Stephen," but wasn't able to maintain that intensity throughout the rest of the show. Song choices were rather predictable and performances were OK, but nothing special. Actually, Which One's Pink should have been the headliner, in my opinion.
