According to these sites the 9012live DVD has already been released and is ready to ship. I ordered it right away, so I if everything goes fine, I should be getting it soon. Stay tuned!

Review please!
I'm interested to know if it is possible to turn off the 'dated' Steve Soder'g images so as to see the performance only; and also an idea of what the bonus material consists of.
Thanks.

I got an e-mail yesterday telling the item had been dispatched. So I should receive it next week. Can't wait.

I'm also very interested about your first thoughts, Flang!

The original concert movie is what it is; well produced anf filmed document of a great Rabin-era concert. This DVD includes the original version and a "director's cut", which is the original movie without visual effects. The "old-movie-thingy" is still there though.

Quality-wise, it's pretty well done DVD. The picture is better than what i've seen of it before, sound is also good and special features are interesting. The downside is that it is still not a complete concert, and that the audio of the only bonus track ("Roundabout") is presumely only a reference mix for the cameras. It's still nice to have.

In my opinion, 90125LIVE is better done than any of the previous attemps to transfer "official" Yes videos into DVD. (Maybe someday they will re-release Yessongs as a complete concert re-edited and remixed audio...)

I've read the Jon compares this Yes-era to Spinal Tap. After seeing the special features "Interviews" i know why! It's very funny stuff, indeed.

What i must say, is that the band's clothes and hairdo's and make-up's are still extremely shocking, even after all these years. Miami Vice is nothing compared to this!

Yes, i recommend it!

Thank you Dr Flang. Now I'm quite excited!
Like many, I have the Brazillian DVD which has only mono sound and a less than ideal, soft focus image. Any improvement on this will be greatly appreciated.
When watching the good picture quality of the snippets on Yes-Years, I held out hope that one day I'd have a better version of 9012Live.
After all, even if it isn't the complete show, it still impresses with powerful impact and energy.
OK, I can't wait for my copy to arrive.

Dr Flang, can you advise where you are located and who you ordered the DVD through?

According to all the sites I have looked at the release date seems to be 27/03 in Europe.

I'm living in Helsinki, Finland and ordered the DVD through CDON.com. For some reason, CDON.com had 15.3. as a release date.

You know, it's funny that sometimes new releases are released here in Scandinavia before the actual release date. I got the recent Yes solo-album reissues more than a month before the official release date. Can't complain, though, because i've been told that during the 70's, the non-finnish LP's were usually released here something like three months late...

Do you consider Finland part of Scandanavia? I always thought the Finns considered Scandanavia to be Norway, Sweden , Denmark (+ Iceland & Faroes) ???

Is this DVD of the Edmonton concert in September '84? I saw the Hold On and All Good People videos from that, really didn't like that weird jacket Chris was wearing, but if it is this concert, I'm sold.

Like I don't have enough YesWest stuff already! hahaha.

Arrived this morning - had a v quick look through it to see what was included.
Main menu: play concert; song selection, extras.
Extras:
- directors cut (no visual effects - hooray! But still with annoying family scene at start)
- interviews with band (34 mins);
- "access all areas" steven soderbergh documentary - backstage pre gig, fans arriving, production team, two women chatting (who were they?); Rabin complaining; Rabin on dumping; kaye playing hand held keyboard (with one hand!); post gig (who was the woman on stage with the guitar?); security problems (nasty backstage incident fan getting beaten up); Rabin complaining again; band tired of touring (Kaye/Rabin/White all pretty down); meet n greet. Where was Chris during this?
- Roundabout (cut from original release)
Audio Dolby digital 5.1 or 2.0

Got it too...

Will watch it entirely tomorrow, one hilarious moment with Jon and Tony (who indeed has this little keyboard) who are 'jamming' backstage; as always they're waiting for "Chris to get his ---- together" (as Jon says it)...deja vu? (YesSpeak- Jon: "we're waiting for Chris, he has to dry his háááir...)

The interviews are really cool! I think a few of our Yesfan girls that dig Trevor will be very happy...

They tell how they went from Yes with The Buggles to Alan & Chris to Trevor & Tony to bringing Jon back. It is a bit frustrating to see that they were making plans to continue "with doing something different" (Jon) and that it took them so long.

And it's true: even Yes resembles Spinal Tap...the documentary is funny. With good promotion this DVD will be in the charts.

Call, write and tell all your friends!

- So needless to say, I'm now really looking forward to receiving my copy.

Are you a Trevor fan? In that case you'll love the part where he moons at the camera!

Yeah there are some moments that give some 'insight' how things go (or went is the better word now) backstage, look at Jon's face when he meets a lady dressed in white backstage. When he sees the camera there is an 'almost caught in the act' look on his face... And the guys discuss two girls who were in the front row.

But who was the girl onstage with the guitar?
And who were the two women discussing the Oscars (jeez!)?

I placed my order today! Can't wait, am quite excited to see this.

Especially Mr. Tony Kaye and his totally overboard antics. At the end of 'All Good People' he gets really excited lmfao.

That is Krista - who is here on Yesfans.
She once told me the story, but I will leave it to her if she would like to elaborate.

Ummmmmmmm, I've looked for a photo of this most bizzare, unbelievable moment and never tracked anything down in 22 years. What can I say, I'm FLOORED! I guess it really wasn't just a figment of my imagination. Still rolling on the floor!!! I guess I'm gonna have to order this asap.

BTW, this is how I met Chris Alan and Trevor for the first time, LOL!!

no problem Brian. It's been up there for years.

Where was the camera? On the soundboard? Wondering what the angle is.

It's a shot of you leaving the stage, just as you are waving to the fans.
The camera must have been at the side of the stage.
