Yes does not do very many love songs. But Jon can write very beautiful love songs. Is there a better Yes love song than "Turn of the Century?"
"After epics of nature and war,
Jon could sense it was time to say more
In a sculptor's lost art
And a long-silenced heart,
He reminds us what love songs are for"
(from the book YesTales)

You know what else is a good Jon love song?
Arms of Love from the Jon and Vangelis demos. I wish I could have played that at my wedding, but our first dance was to In a Lifetime.

I still think that And You And I is the best Yes love song, and one of my favourite love songs in general.

Hello Mr./Ms. Villager, I couldn't agree with you more. I recently wrote a letter to the Nominating Committee of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in support of the nomination of Yes. One part of my letter was dedicated to the poetry of Yes's lyrics. I commented that on the subject of love Turn of the Century was the most poetic and beautiful in my memory. I quoted the first part of the song, through "All but to see the stone be life" as an example of this poetry. I think that Jon's singing of the words "Helpless hands soul revealing" is my favorite moment in Yes music.
