There is far too much negative b.s. being thrown about concerning YES and Rick Wakeman's return, what Steve Howe will or won't play; etc . .
NOW is the time for the true fan to stand up and make some noise. Talk up the concert to co-workers and friends, let them in on what a show they will miss, how GREAT the band is 'live' and this is an opportunity to witness a spectacular group of musicians. Not, aw shucks; they will probably play "Roundabout" and gee, I've already seen that.
So what !
They are coming back to the states, and that in itself is worthy of high praise !
Let's not forget how fortunate we are to see YES
and enjoy their brilliance.
Let's support our favorite band like true 'Troopers' !!

This year I am taking my ladyfriend to her first YES concert. She loves Magnification. I hope they play some of it for her.

Also I have talked an old high school friend into going to a show, in fact I am going to fly down and go to that show as well.

That's 2 for me! If everyone could take a newbie we could really make this a great tour for the boys!

Good ideas - I'm going to two concerts (am taking my husband to each of them); am also taking another couple (she's never seen Yes; he hasn't been to a Yes concert in 25 years or so) to Shoreline. I also e-mailed news of the concert to everyone in my office, but only got one person interested (what's wrong with the rest of my colleagues?) I always have Yes playing in my office as well. . .

Any other ideas as to what we can do to spread the enthusiasm?

I take my Girlfriend to Yes concerts and she loves it.. She is not a fan like me but she said there show was one of the best ones she has seen music wise.

She was a little dissapointed she was not allowed stand and get into the music but she got over it.

We walked up to the stage since we did not get get tickets and were mesmorized by the setup.. looking at Jon's Fun Rack was cool!!

I also liked the nice little Tornado fan he has.. hahahaha

My younger brother has always wanted to go but his schedule just never works out.. I would love to take another person but I don't have an Extra 80 bucks just floating around to burn.

I've been wearing Yes t-shirts to all our club gigs recently!!! Ha ha ha!!!! And have been pleasantly surprised at how much commentary that has brought!!

I also INSISTED a long-time buddy of mine see the show in Austin where he is now an archaeologist for Texas Parks and Wildlife. Here's the best part....He spent much of his adult life in Belmopan, Belize, heading their Dept. Of Archaeology; he was out in the jungles much of the time, so he is practically clueless as to most popular music, and always asks for guidance as such. I emailed him and practically ORDERED him to attend the Austin show at The Backyard....and he's going!!!!! Woo-hoo!!!! I just know he will be blown away by it....can't wait to hear his reaction!

Keep spreading the word everyone!!!

Peace all

Thank you to those that posted, and it warms my heart to see the YES spirit alive and well in so many fans; young and old.
Rick Wakeman was on the radio, here in Texas and is boasting proudly about rejoining YES.
Sorry, no hint of what material will be performed, but it was so cool when the D.J's were talking and the intro to 'Heart of the Sunrise' came in and one DJ goes "what was that"?
The other replied "I think it was YES, we're going to be talking with Rick Wakeman via telephone from England. And then they spent a couple of minutes reflecting on how fresh YES music has remained.
It was GREAT !!

Hi, I have also been wearing my various YES shirts to clubs whether I am playing or just hanging out and every time I get several positive comments. I think this is a good way to spread the word that YES is still making great music!

I agree Glendo, I wear my t-shirts and Yes buttons and talk about Yes to anyone who will listen. I make tapes for my service providers and acquaintences--chiropractor/dentist/neighbors/co-workers. I go to music stores and re-arrange Yes music for the greatest impact display and tell the clerks to encourage sales for our lovely group. I e-mailed our local radio station and offered to bring them copies of Magnification since I never hear it on the air. Anyway I can, I make an effort to spread the news.
