VH1 is currently airing a series of shows entitled something like "The 100 Most Shocking Moments in Rock n Roll". Last evening I was watching, and I think it was number 79 or 78, somewhere around there, and there was Rick Wakeman to my surprise.
They were discussing his tour for "The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table." Apparently it lasted only for three shows because it was so extravagant. It had a massive cast of ice skaters and costumes which proved to be too expensive to carry on.
Rick was criticized for going way over the top and being too self-indulgent. I do not know about that, but I am sure it was an interesting show to see!
