Ok the album sleve and Yesworld say that the line in Awaken is " That thougt be contact"

I could swear it is actualy "Let thought be contact" I know I'v heard Jon sing it that way the L is vary pronounced. What do you think?

I always thought it was 'that' - I'll go back through the dozen or more recordings I have and check. It's possible that Jon or Chris have sung 'let' on occasion.

I know thats why it confuses me why it sounds like some times he says "Let thought be contact"

Jon is notorious in being loose in the exact words he sings so I suspect he has sung it both ways.

In terms of the lyrics on the album cover, my only comment is to spare a thought for the poor proof reader trying to make any sense out of those 70s Yes lyrics. Ultimately it would have been left with the author, Jon, to have the final say over what was printed. Having proof read numerous things that I have written (after the publishing proof reader has scanned it) let me say that it is so easy to miss a mistake.

And I wouldn't be at all surprised that by the time Jon got to read it again (usually months after it was written) he wouldn't know for sure what it was supposed to be!
