It says Starship Trouper on the video, as that song starts.
I always thought it was spelled "Starship Trooper!"
Oh well, mistakes are cool - they just prove we're human.

Terry, I'm glad a couple of 'typo's' didn't bother you.
I do recall that when the DVD was first released in the UK, it got some scathing criticism on this site from some, for those spelling mistakes. It seemed to me that you really have to be a sour ar*e, if the best you can do is whinge about spelling mistakes!
Tsongas is such a great souvenir of the 35th tour, those spelling mistakes aren't going to spoil it for me!

I got a giggle from it, actually. A typo in lovely 1991 Roger Dean font!
No, that's a great DVD set. I saw them live exactly 10 days before that, so it's a great treasure for me.
The only thing I didn't like was that curving crane shot moving in towards Rick that they used over and over - that made me seasick. And there's an odd moment during Steve's acoustic piece where the camera wanders over to zoom (out of focus) onto Alan's drum. I think I would have cut to a different camera.
As I said, mistakes are cool. The Universe knows I make enough of them!

I mean..honestly, It's a great performance of a great song..so they spelled it the Euro way?? BFE.

Classic Pictures, the company that's put out Yes' last few DVDs, is notorious for typos... I am surprised by this from Image, though...

Yes, mistakes prove we are human, but not all mistakes are acceptable - especially those that could have been so very easily avoided. A mistake like this is distracting, unprofessional, and demonstrates not nearly enough care in putting out the best possible product for the fans. It's not as if the word "Trooper" is so difficult to spell. Does not a single person involved in production know how it's spelled in the song title? Did anyone bother to proofread? If it were my band's release, and I saw this misprint in one of my song titles, I would have hit the roof. As well, the word "trouper" has a different meaning than "trooper".
Sorry, but the way I see it, there is nothing "sour ar*e" about wanting the very best from among the very best - if they're selling me the whole package, then that whole package must be top-notch.

RL - "your" right about that! ;-)
(PS: as a writer, typos drive me nuts... I'm sure that as a teacher they drive you nuts, too)

There's absolutely no excuse for this kind of carelessness. Did not one member of the band, band member spouses or girlfriends, managment, Roger Dean or any member of his camp, Earl Grey, anybody who has a basic knowledge or understanding of YES look at this before it was put into final production? Afterall this is no bootleg knockoff. It's an official release, the end result of which reflects upon the band. I will bet you that any member of the band upon seeing this would have have shook his head in disgust.
Oh by the way, I just listened to The Revealing Science of God, from Tails from Topographic Oceans.
Oops, sorry that's "Tales," no big deal!

They do drive me nuts, relayeire. While teaching, they only drive me nuts when I feel that the students should have learned enough to know not to make them - akin to supposedly literate adults whose job it is to get it right.

Right! Right, right, right, right, right, and you are soooo right!! (At least, where the last part is concerned, I would like to think so.)

I agree. A typo is a mistake, and mistakes are made, but should always be caught by someone at some point in the process. The fact that it made it all the way through to finished product indicates that someone didn't just plain didn't care. They didn't care enough to make sure it was right, or they were in charge of the people who were supposed to make sure it was right. It goes all the way up the chain.
In theory, the CEO of the company is just as responsible for content as anyone else. In practice, somebody needs a whap upside the head with a flounder.

Here here. I totally agree. Yes's management has a habit of letting poor production quality undermine a release. Whether it be poor pressings (Yesshows) , poor sound quality (KTA), poor visuals (KTA), poor recording of a live performance (Yessongs), poor audio quality on the copy of the show that accompanied Yesspeak, poor decision NOT to use more of the excellent live footage (Yesspeak), poor production for the supporting literature (Tsongas) or just a poor record (Big Generator ;) ), it all lets down a great band.

How about Symphonic Live? Can we agree that one is perfect? I soitenly think so (though I turn off the animations when I watch it [and at least turning them off was an option.])
I thought KTA had fantastic sound quality - at least on CD. I've only got the vid on VHS, but the soundtrack sounded excellent to me. I agree that the visuals were pretty crap.
I thought the quality on that audio-only show on Yesspeak was pretty good - sounds like a really good soundboard boot to me! What I didn't like was the fade-ins and -outs. Anybody besides me notice that 'No Experience Necessary' is listed on the back cover as one of the included tracks? Unless it's an Easter Egg, I can't find it. (Maybe there's a clip from it in the video, but I expected to find it in the audio-only show.)
Big Generator is an awesome album. Listen to side one again (or in this CD age, tracks 1 to 4.) My only wish with that album is that Trevor Horn had produced all of it.

It's certainly a lot, lot better than most of the othera, I agree. A more 'naked' performance with good sound quality and not much clutter getting in the way.

The CD sound quality was way better, but that was because of all the additional work in the studio plus the overdubs. The sound track on my video is way below the CD in terms of quality. Maybe it's a one-off (I doubt it), but it's thin and weedy by comparison and also fades in and out. Plus, there's little attention paid to balance the lighting of each night's show menaing the cuts are SO obvious it's painful. The lip synching is woeful as is the director's ability to cut to a shot of someone's hands playing a solo which obviously isn't the one played on the night. It's just amateurish.

Well, I've heard loads more shows from the tour which make it sound poor by comparison - that's all. Plus, it's not a patch on the quality of the live video footage from the same DVD. You've got to ask yourself why? The sound quality of the DVD is great, but the audio sounds compressed and lacking IMO.

This was tongue-in-cheek (hence the wink). I do believe it's their second worst album ever, but it would have been fairer to have cited the debacle that was Union/Onion when talking about management cock-ups and Yes. Anyone here play on Union? Sorry - I shoudl say anyone here NOT play on Union? Arf arf. Did someone say Steve Howe? ;)

I never got to play on Union. I've always wanted to get a t-shirt printed up to proudly boast about that achievement. However, my cat vanished for a week or so - I think she might have run up and down a few keyboards. Some of the solos on Onion sound suspiciously like her work.
